Most Advanced Observation Satellite Launched

Your scientist thinks otherwise. He says that images of chinese satellite is so bad that people are not ready to buy even at free of cost( Just like Chinese goods) Look what Mr Zhou says:

“Five or 10 years ago a lot of people said our satellites were no good,” Zhou said. “Even giving the data away for free they did not attract many users.

You are using a 2012 article to gauge China 2014?

So u are saying China will Never advance? Our gaofen is launch in 2014, so yr point?

so basically you are saying Indian's sats are money wasting face jobs to make them feel good? lol

some Chinese 'professors' even say India will 'catch-up' with China in 2008/2009/2010/2011````and XYZ years```
your line of argument is based on sheer delusion and 0.8m of 'resolution' with 1km 'swath' :D
Chinese scientist say because of humility, and to ease our Indian friends ego.

first of all the "scientist zhou" did not say china was two generations behind india or japan that part was added by poster (go ahead, read the source) so this so called generation gap is purely and 100%ly an opinion of the op

second, the article only refers to the satellites available to the public. AND in fact according to the article, with the launch of GF-2 china had already close the gap. and it has, matching or surpasing the resolution of india's best(known) but with 5 times the swath width meaning.

now you could say india got there years ago. that is true however we know there will be a GF-3 soon and we know there are even more planned, each better than the previous, and this only for publicly known satellites while the progress of india's satellites are decisively slower paced.

this is merely one more area that china decided it needs to improves like the economy, the life literacy rate, manufacturing etc. and it has, with maddening speed.

Precisely but some ill informed Indian with too much pride can't take it down. They long know they lose the race with China decide to post misquote report or distort fact to make them feel good. For example of this terrible thread written and post by Indian. Everybody knows Indian didn't even make it top 3 in the final and the indian is so quick to jump in and make a comment even it just first day of contest.

Chinese Type 96 fails to impress in 2014 Tank Biathlon World Championship

In the end, Chinese Type96A just proves too superior. It ldind't get first place becos of the terrible ranking system used by Russia to give them their advantage(mobility) more points

In this video , clearly Type96A fire control and stabiliser is few generation ahead of any thing the Indian and Russia tank has,

Chinese Type 96A VS, T-72 B3M (Latest Model) Firing on the Move-Comparison-World Tank Biathlon 2014 - YouTube

Chinese type96A hardly even needs to brake or slow down and taking aim and fire while Russia T-72 which the one Indian using even needs to jam the brake hard so that tank needs to slow to near halt as it stabiliser is crappy and will hardly make a accurate shot when on move.

This applies to our satelite which proves superior to anything Indian has. And Indian, the only thing they are capable is to misquote or mis informed the mass to serve their agenda. Pathetic!

this nonsense pissing contest is dragging too long

which is better?

most advanced indian optical imaging satellite in orbit
cartosat-2b
- 0.8 m resolution black and white imaging @ 9.6 km swath
- no multispectral

most advanced chinese commercial optical imaging satellite in orbit
gaofen-2
- 0.8 m black and white imaging @ 48 km swath
- 3.2 m in multispectral color imaging @ 48km swath

just example only to show how much stuff a smaller swath missing.. not to scale..
Hvkfs1e.jpg

not even talking about power output capacity, downlink/uplink speed, etc.. that put yindian junk to shame. lets just leave those out..

Your idiocy is on exhibition.

Pl provide the link of chinese economist saying that Inida will catch up with china in 2008-09.

Learn to differentiate between fact and prediction. Now somebody say that India will become world's no 1 economy by 2045. Now Inida may become or may not become. But when chinese scientist say that we are 2 generation behind India it is a statement of fact and not the prediction. He clearly says that nobody wants to take chines satellite imaginary though we give it free of cost. This admition of chinese scientist says a lot about the quality of Chinese satellite images.

So within 2 years china bridged the gap of 2 generation and moved ahead????

This really amusing.

Lets put it this way: the vital parameters of a satellite are detectors, optics, orbital precision, processors, fault tolerant memory, image processing software and power sources.

Which of these does India even produce? I'm not asking "good at". I'm saying "makes at all".

OK, once you start thinking about this, you will realize how nonsensical your assertion is.

ah, except the problem with what your saying is that.

well the chinese scientist never said "we are 2 generation behind India" so it is neither statement of fact or a prediction, it is a fantasy coming out of op's arse

if you take your head out of the sand for a moment, yes it is perfectly possible to bridge a gap going to from 2 meter resolution to 0.8 meter resolution in 2 years, this is fact, china literally just did it. and india literally do not have anything better at the moment, only having one satellite with a comparable panchromatic resolution but far smaller swath width making it clearly less capable.

GF-3 , GF-4 and GF-5 is all scheduled to be in orbit by 2016, so save your tears, theres plenty more crying to do in the near future.

You have a problem with basic reading and comprehension. He cleanly told that nobody is ready to accept the DATA though given free of cost.
