Morocco has ordered 13 "Bayraktar TB2" medium altitude and long-range (MALE) tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) .

Each "Bayraktar TB2" system consists of six aerial vehicles, two ground control stations (GCS), three ground data terminals (GDTs), two remote video terminals (RVTs) and ground support equipment.

Because of destruction of El Watiya Air Force base Erdogan wants to get back at Algeria..We will see how the drone will fare in the Western Sahara, as well as he did in Lybia or Armenia/ Azerbaijan short war..Israel and the UAEi are there too with their own drones...The Sahrawis have a potent air defense system and there no time to describe the Algerian one...That will be an interresting drone war that we will certainly witness.

Bayraktar TB2 armed UAV had developed its own record by flying uninterrupted for 27 hours and 3 minutes in difficult geographical and climatic conditions such as high temperature and sandstorm during its demo flight in Kuwait, on July 16, 2019. You can be sure that a system that made flight hundreds of thousands of hours (over 300.000) to this day and has a detailed data-sets on this matter. I believe this system is suitable for Morocco's geographical features and climate as tactical armed UAV.

The usage concept of TB2 and the operational success of the whole system; are the primary factors that attract attention. Because it has been proven that it can provide effective support to military forces with a low cost and an expendable system when necessary. Basicly It is a product that has been tailored according to a new field doctrine approach.

After technical proficiency and proven tactical concept: Third most important reasons for Baykar's TB2 sales success is that they have fast delivery facilities. With the infrastructure investments made by Baykar in the last two years, Bayraktar TB2 production per year increased from 46 to 92, ground&communication system from 23 to 60, avionic systems packages from 45 to 100. I do not know the details of the contract with Morocco, but when looking at the ongoing plannings and procurement schedules, if Morocco loses one of the systems it will only take days to replace it.

In terms of the development of the system, some changes have also occurred in recent years. Now the standard munition payload is 4x Mam-L. It has had this capacity since the begining, but with the improvements in flight algorithms, the efficiency level of the system is gradually increasing. It also started to carry a slightly heavier and more complex CATS. In addition to all these, Baykar started to offer SATCOM option.
