One of the less discussed aspects of the Mongol Empire is the multiple crushing defeats it suffered at the hands of "Pakistan ". Yes, the word Pakistan is relevant because it was the people's in the territories now constituting modern Pakistan, which then was a part of the Delhi Sultanate that defeated the Mongols through bitter resistance.
It was a joint resistance, led by the Muslim Delhi Sultanate but also aided by the Hindu Rajput princes.
As in every other nation the Mongols tried to break the unity of the people's of the sub-continent offering the Hindu princes surrogate power if they would revolt and overthrow the Delhi Sultanate. Remarkably the Hindu princes and their people's refused . The alliance against the Mongols held.
But for the heroism and nationalism of the Muslims of old India ( Pakistan) aided by their valiant Hindu allies the region would have been overrun and devastated by the Mongols with 700 years of culture and heritage destroyed. It was a long and brutal war for survival from 1221 C.E. to 1327 C. E.

Allaudin Khilji assisted by his generals Zafar Khan , Ulugh Khan, Nusrat Khan delivered a crushing defeat on the Mongols at the Battle of Kili ( 1299 C. E. ) Zafar Khan embraced martyrdom at the battle.

Been following Kings and Generals for a long time but that mongol fanboy simply ignore facts about Chinese Mongol relationships.

China and Mongol (and pre mongol tribes e.g. xiongnu) have shared borders for 5000years. Of those 5000years China has defeated and ruled/vassalized Mongolia for thousands of years meanwhile Mongolia ruled China for less than a century. Even then it took Genghis grandson to defeat a fractured kingdom. Facts are worth 100x more than a map that doesn't tell a story and changes daily.
