However, it will not be easy to achieve, considering the powerful beneficiaries of the status quo on both sides.

Hopefully, there will be no Kargil. Because the consequences of such an event will be disastrous. Indian public opinion right now is cautiously optimistic.

If a Kargil/ Mumbai type event occurs, this atmosphere could turn very very quickly and sharply.

Hope it doesn't go that far.

You cant lie about a thing that happened on national tv no where on earth does the police use live ammo on its on national well except in Palestine and Occupied Kashmir

You don't read news do you? Anyone threatening a state is taken down. In the US, just in the past few days, even small shootings are ordered to kill, even in the malls and everywhere else. No one is allowed to fukk with the system and the state, its the case in the US, China and everywhere else. Protests are allowed under democracy, but protests and violence are two different things. What you saw in Islamabad was pure violence. There was a reason why IK and Mullah was issued a shut the eff up call.

You won't see IK calling for ONE more violent sit-in, I can guarantee it.This time, he'll be facing a military court if he did that :enjoy:. Laws have been updated and are being enforced to eliminate intensity and violence from the Pakistani society.

Let's not take the thread off topic, you can open up a new thread and relive the dark memories of that effing sit-in, that eliminated IK's party's strength from Punjab. But this thread is on Modi and NS. Let's focus on that. This is the greatest development in the past 15 years between India and Pakistan.

It depends on how threatened the existing beneficiaries feel from peace between the two countries.

90% of you guys on PDF have NO idea how diplomacy works. You guys are used to a Dictator showing his tiny muscles after speeches, and that's a third class view to the globe. But to you guys, its the power. REALLY????

Diplomacy works the way it is now working with Modi's visit. These visits will start, then people to people visa's will be made easier, than tourism and other things will start. That's called setting up stage to end a 70 year old conflict. Then, one day, a peace deal will be announced and people will easily accept that as the relationships people had already started to build, will remove any hatred, and objections to it.

Just so you know, NS and RS are very much in synch. NS brings in diplomacy and RS has deep respect for it. If things go on an offense, like anywhere else, the Army takes charge (like the Pentagon takes charge when its decided a conflict is to take place). Otherwise, NS's diplomacy rocks, like it has from China, to Russia to the US, to the UK and to India now :enjoy::tup:
With things heating up in Kashmir this was the time stir things up again diplomatically too but again Nawaz is not acting accorrding to events in Occupied Kashmir

You won't see such shiny golden meeting room anywhere in world, except you know where..... :D

NS: Gup Shup to buhat ho gayi ab Kashmir pe baat ho jaye?
Modi: Ji jaruur
NS : "Chotay 2 Kashmiri Chaaye ..Jaldi" :D :p
