You don't know what was the state of Hindus in Gujarat during Congress rule. Muslim men used to kidnap Hindu girls, rape them and convert them. All of them were protected by Congress govt. for vote bank purpose.

Modi in recent state elections in Gujarat, was all alone, the people of RSS & VHP who forms active cadre of BJP were also against him & supported his rival Keshubhai Patel instead (who was himself a BJP man until he formed new party). So he was up against all Political parties + his very own people.

But as is the case, he was asking for votes on the sole criteria of DEVELOPMENT & no wonder he won Gujarat for the straight third time that too with 2/3 majority.

He is not just a politician anymore, He is a PHENOMENON, which has changed the Indian Politics for GOOD. Now People aren't interested on the Caste, creed, color, language & most important religion of the CANDIDATE but what development he/she has done.

This atrocious behavior of Modi's Gujarat police was so unconscionable, it even made it into the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

Police didn't act because their families would have been killed. That's why Army was brought. The riots were controlled in 3-4 days.

You should read about history of Gujarat's riots. This riot was nothing before the previous riots during Congress Rule.

As for victim mentality, since you don't know any facts or basis about Gujarat, I give you benefit of doubt.

BJP gave ticket to 24 Muslims in Municipal elections this year, all won. 47 seats won by BJP. What you call that ?
