Modi sulking over Pakistan internationalizing Kashmir Dispute

Well, since it is Modi and the Indian government whining, crying and sulking about "Pakistan internationalizing the Kashmir Dispute", the deluded ones would be the Indians trying to save face here ... :enjoy:

No ones crying it's nawaz who is passing subtle hints telling India that he wants dialogue.

There are multiple ways of solving the Kashmir problem though.
My view was directly referenced to the Kashmir problem - and solving it at least cost - by using the method mentioned above.

What solutions for Kashmir do you think are feasible, realistically speaking?

Pakistan is only good enough for the energy highway that we are planning from central Asia upto the far east. Nawaz was on board in til your army derailed it with the sponsored dharnas.

The problem is not as much Pakistan as is Afghanistan to get energy to India from Central Asia.

Pakistan is the hindrance not Afghanistan.

Not sure why NS is going and crying on all international forum about Kashmir when nobody is ready to listen him not even their fellow countrymen. Is he thinking that if he will speak "K" word everywhere then Pakistanis will start loving him. I don't think so.

On other hand, India says decide what you want? if you want and go cry around the world, You are most welcome but then don't expect bilateral talk soon. Not sure why OP is unable to interpret such simple thing.

For energy transit, Sir, Afghanistan is the bigger issue from the security and technical points of view.

Security is a different paradigm. You would be aware that both China and Russia are willing to build the pipeline through Afghanistan in the TAPI project and both want to be a part of it. There is a company that has been initiated already.plus the Chinese have been eager to finance the pipeline.

The hindrance part comes when there is a policy paralysis inside Pakistan.

Pakistani's are blessed creative and talented. They can spin a bad news for them into good news for them and be happy about it. Modi as of now is riding high on his success and is getting great recognition across the world and look AM is trying to make us belief that he is losing and actually begging NS. Whatever makes you feel happy man.

Apt for people like AM

In diplomatic world statment never comes out. you have to sort out things by hints. no one says a word in UN when Pakistan raiz an issue of Kashmir but Pakistan sent strong message in very Imp Place 'UN' that Kashmir is an issue there will be no peace without solving it.. what they call A Flash point of Nuclear War.
indians takes how ever they wanna take. everyone received a message.
its better to talk to the sepratists rather than indian gov. Pakistan government chose sepratists than a murderer.

No India-Pakistan talks during SAARC summit in Kathmandu

No "structured dialogue" between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif has been scheduled during the SAARC summit in Kathmandu. Even though Pakistan has said that Sharif was keen to meet Modi on the sidelines of the summit, there is no such possibility.

Earlier, Pakistan had put the ball in New Delhi's court for resuming a dialogue between the two prime ministers at the SAARC summit in Kathmandu.

"Pakistan is ready to hold talks but it is up to India to re-start the negotiations which were called off by it unilaterally. The ball is now in India's court for talks between both the countries," Sharif said referring to New Delhi cancelling the foreign secretary level talks after Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit met Kashmiri separatist leaders on the eve of the dialogue.

When asked about the possibility of talks between the two countries, Sharif said the question should be put to his Indian counterpart.

By looking at the news, I am wondering who is really sulking here @AgNoStiC MuSliM

a) There is only one 'solution' per se that is acceptable to India - Indian Kashmir remains under Indian sovereignty while getting freedom of trade and movement to the two Kashmirs.

Anything else which removes or even reduces the Indian territory is a non-starter regardless of any benefits that might accrue in lieu(peace/trade).
This means LoC=IB.

Now this is not acceptable to Pakistan.

b)So that means we will continue to play the game we are playing and Pakistan will continue to play its game. I however see that if the current course of action continues in Pakistan, it will not survive in its current form.
Which is why I advocate supporting anything that gives a fillip to the militant/jihadi forces in Pakistan - from supporting Shariah loving groups to giving Pakistanis something to hate(India) because of Kashmir.

c) The third is engineering a demographic change in Kashmir, which is a very long term project which GoI is embarking on. It involves battling Indians with vested interests at a lot of places...and requires a lot of things to align.
For example somehow for A370 to go, which is the prime barrier to migration. This is a long shot..but what India is doing nonetheless. Will take decades to fructify if at all.

Either which ways, India will get to keep Kashmir. The only question is what would Pakistan choose a or b. Public Opinion in Pakistan leads me to believe that its people will never allow PA/GoP to choose a. Both suit us just fine.

C) There is a much needed plebiscite and Kashmiris finally get to choose which country they want to be with or if they want to be independent.

Please read my post again.
Plebiscite is an option - after demographic changes have happened in Kashmir - something which Govt of India is trying to do. It is however a long term option.

Let's get real for the moment.

USA is UN, period. USA, UN, EU all have absolutely no care about who controls Kashmir. I doubt if many Americans even know where exactly is Kashmir. International support and outrage depends on international relations. During the cold war the Americans supported Pakistan's stand on Kashmir because they needed them, post cold war the same America snubbed Nwaz Sharif when he approached them during the Kargil war for help.

Right now the Indian market is of a more pressing interest to USA then the concerns of a country they deem unstable and bomb on a regular basis. Pakistan can talk about Kashmir anywhere they want, at most they will get a brief audience who will do nothing and at worst they will find no listeners at all.

Pakistan can offer nothing to US or EU. India on the other hand is a lucrative market. It will take some time for the Pakistanis to wake up to reality but until then they can keep talking about Kashmir all they want.
