Modi govt clears private sector entry into military transport aircraft project

Yeah Bro.. Well its good that the govt. has alteast now opened up the doors for Pvt Players.

Economic Times Saturday Edition. There is an article in which TASL claims they are ready to manufacture entire Radar Systems and Aircraft as a whole and challenge the PSU's stating that it is currently being done by BEL and HAL and that TATA can get this done all under one Roof.

Just claims.... they have yet to manufacture an aircraft, yet alone a jet engine

Great move. Enough of inefficient HAL cost overruns, ultimately delivering duds. The PSU defenders can go fly LCA !!;)

The fundamental cause of problem of HAL is came from its own inner policies.HAL ,a government organization select their technicians on the bases of so called partial social equality .Not on the basis of merit. If they gave a notification for 100 engineers 60 % of them will go to the reserved categories. So issue creates here is a talented person from general categories cant pass this test. This also goes to other govt establishment. And R&D would completely sucks.
But when it comes to private ,their only aim is profit and for that they prefered most talented people and their is not f** reservation system.
That is why we have some hope in private sector.

Like I said they have motivation. They know the size of the deal they can get from GoI if they can produce such a system .
For that they dont have any hesitation to hire one of brightest minds from outside and also they dont have a reservation problem.

Don't get ahead of yourself there bro, Mahindra to date have only produced a light turbo-prop a/c and TATA zilch- let's see how their foray into the defence sector goes (it has only just started in earnest really) before expecting so much.
It takes decades of experience and lots of money and know how to come up with modern fighter aircraft. TATA and Mahindra (has the latter one anything to do with aviation?) are even way behind HAL in this regard

If I am not wrong, govt. policy requires DRDO/HAL/ADA to share their expertise and any technology that they have with pvt. players interested in defence related manufacturing specific to that expertise or tech.
