Military expert: The confrontation between Egypt and Turkey on the "Sirte - Al-Jafra" line in Libya will expose the Turkish army to great losses

The Egyptian researcher indicated that the Turkish side is the one that will drain in land, sea and air, due to the long distances through which it will be forced to secure the supply and logistical support lines by its navy and air forces at a frightening financial cost.

He added that "all of this is in front of forces of the size, capacity and experience of the Egyptian armed forces that will fight near its coasts, lands and airspace, and in a familiar and friendly environment that represents a direct strategic depth for them (east - central Libya), which provides them with the ability to form interlocking and intensified defense lines and multiple levels and layers allow it the position to maneuver and move with tremendous advantage to drain the Turkish side and drag it into tight ambushes and incurring it heavy losses.

He noted that the Egyptian army "will have a superior and advanced ability to compensate for losses and secure supply and logistical support lines, and at much shorter distances than they are on the Turkish side, which increases the difficulty of the task for the Turkish navy and aviation, that they will never be able to muster all their combat capabilities in front of The Egyptian forces, given the urgent need to protect the Turkish airspace and the coasts that extend to the Mediterranean, Aegean, Marmara, and the Black Sea, as well as securing air and land supply and supply lines from Turkey to Libya for a distance ranging between 1500 and 2000 km, and in front of a major enemy, which is Greece. And this what the Turkish side knows well. "

He continued: "Egypt did not define its red line from a vacuum, but rather based on planning and estimating a strategic position studied at various levels, and with full international and regional legitimacy."

Turkey can't project power, it would be quite easy for Egypt to beat Turkey by destroying the runways of the airports in Libya, and maybe even destroying the harbors to prevent ships landing.

The Warfalla Tribal Council has backed the Egyptian incentive & re-affirmed that El-Sisi highlighted the deep relationship between the Egyptian and Libyan people. So the real tribal elements in Libya still support their brotherly country.

Turkey has a more powerfull navy and presence. Regardless of your personal preference and idealogy, its stupid to say Turkey cant project power as they already did for years in the form of supporting GNA with resources and personal. Its also isnt just as easy as just going to a base or harbor and destroy it. There is a whole political and military planning involved, not to mention the actual capability to do so.

Yea definitly, but nobody with a half brain uses it as an unbiased and 100% reliable source. RT, TRT, BBC and etc. are all subject to the policy of that particular nation they are hosted in.

They can't project power in any meaningful way with aircraft carriers simple as that. Even China can't project power very well yet with aircraft carriers. Destroying the airbases with guided bombs would be quite easy politically and militarily, after all it would be targeting the GNA, not the Turkish armed forces. M2000s are great for this exactly.

Your sortie rate is too low for F-16 even with tankers it would be close to impossible to generate a sufficient number of sorties.

Navy maybe, but the ships can't act offer any offensive action(no LACM, or artillery).

Now that Al-Watiya is going to be used, there will be a base of operations to not only use drones from, but fighters jets and anti-air systems aswell. This isnt some videogame where you just send fighter jets to destroy a target casually. Its not how any of this works. Turkey has been projecting power in Libya from the first moment is set foot there. I dont think you know what the definition of power projection is.

Now that Al-Watiya is going to be used, there will be a base of operations to not only use drones from, but fighters jets and anti-air systems aswell. This isnt some videogame where you just send fighter jets to destroy a target casually. Its not how any of this works. No need this is a confrontation, destroying as much strategic targets, try to stop when 12 submarine and 16 frigatte comes at you with airforce. You people are thinking we have the ground and nobody can stop you? This is not a war but a confrontation.

In the end we will use airbase in Libya and nothing you can do about it. We can use our S400 to protect that base.

The drones where operating fine from the very start of the conflict, so i dont know what argument you are trying to make here. The GNA is directly backed by Turkey, in what world do you think that Egypt will get directly involved in the conflict and target whilst Turkey wont do anything? If Egypt is directly involved, then whats stopping Turkey from getting directly involved aswell?

You have this weird childlike delusional scenario playing in your head about how this conflict will go, and anything outside of that little scenario you completely reject or flatout dont entertain the idea of. Thats not how any of this works. Turkey has ALREADY been projecting power, quite litteraly in the form of APC's, Vehicles, Weapons, Manpower, Construction contract, Drones and etc. You make absolutely no sense at all.

Your opinion is not relevant to the reality of the situation. Just because you dont WANT Turkey to project power doesnt mean they dont.

Like i said, there are plans to operate directly from Al-Watiya Air base and Misrata Naval base.
