Most likely just another weapons configuration. Not a new design at all.

see, Ada class is a designated ASW vessel. Because we have a good number of frigates to do other jobs. It isn't the case for Qatar.
Propably, There will be some changes perhaps such as in weapenry (Depends on Requirments) and structure.
Great minds think alike :tup:

What happened to this deal
So far i know RMK joined to that tender as well, but i have no clue if its joint with STM or not. Because RMK already had their own corvette design from small to large scale , i gave the details down ;

The projects was completed in 3-D and in initial design step with contribution of fincantieri (ToT vie SAR vessels) ,RMK RD department and partly STM.

Most probably failed , the tender was /will be awarded to Damen with no doubt.

Its right , they are also ahead in scientific way even they have a Institute called MARIN , one of the most respectable test basin even not large scale as David Taylor MB.
But also design is very good mate, flexible and fitting into all sizes with less effort than designing a new ship , the sigma hull :undecided: lets hope the same for ours, but we have a long way to go.
