J-7 may be may not be supirior to migs but on thing is sure IAF pilots are the worst pilots in the world with more than 1000 crashes under their belt.must be a record in itself.

A MiG 21 crashed in Rajasthan today due to technical snag.Pilot ejected & is safe.The crash happened near Uttarlai Airforce Station near Barmer.The pilot was on a routine sortie.

Time to say goodbye to this old machines.This is the 3rd MiG 21 crash this year.

its time we teach our pilots on how to eject safely using the rest of the Mig 21/ Bisons of IAF, perhaps this is the only training which can be given to the pilots using our MIG 21's..

Offtopic: The Russians should sue us for bringing such a bad name to their awesome machine..Shame on the think tanks in MOD..

Yaa IAF pilots are the worst see, the IAF Su 30 MKI's , Mirage 2000's, Jaugars, Mig 29's all are doing very well and are safe in the hands of the srilankan, pakistani, bangladeshi, chinese pilot fying them On contract basis..IAF pilots only fly the MIG 21's and hence they only crash..

I don't understand why IAF MiG-21s go down at such an alarming rate.Many eastern European countries also operate old jets like the MiG-21 and SU-22 but they hardly crash.There is a severe shortage of jet trainers and also turbo prop trainers which I guess is causing problems. I think the spare parts being used are also of bad quality.The IAF has become a laughing stock at the world stage due to this.I was shocked to know that India lost 1000 jets since 1970.Something is seriously wrong.it's time to look inside and ask hard questions.Are our ground staff and pilots really that good?

Thank god pilot is safe. I dont know what the problem is with indian govt to make their pilots put up with this joke of a plane and at the same times delude themselves that they have arrived on the world and should have a sec council seat at UN and the rest incredible rubbish. Yes , you are right .India does not deserve to be in the security council as a permanent member.The problem is the middle class delusion that India is rising/shining etc..Some numb nuts even call India a superpower.Most of the Indians who are in forums etc.. are from this middle class.India is anything but a superpower.Until recently even I was in this delusion but when I came to India after my 12th I saw the reality. Hillary Clinton put it very aptly when she said that India is a self appointed runner for the post of UNSC permanent seat. We have covered a long distance but there is a lot more to cover.It would be better if we remain humble and concentrate on growth.IMO the security council permanent membership should be dissolved as many countries there like Russia are no longer "superpowers".
