Mi-28 For Pakistan - Russia Agrees

I know this is loud thinking but I am stretching the line forward to make few questions.

Q1: As we are getting Mi-28, we will be getting armament which comes along with the helicopter and that may include anti-tank missiles. Does that mean Russian tanks in India would be targeted by Russian helicopters using Russian anti-tank missiles?

Q2: What about our expected JV with Turkey for T-129? Turkish brothers were happy to sign the deal with transfer of technology. How do you see that turning out now?

Q3: Our Chinese brothers are eager to provide Z-10s. Infect 3 of those have been given as gift. Do you see Pakistan operating two platforms at the same time. Is Mi-28 and Z-10s co-operat-able because of serving different purposes?

Q4: Is there an indirect lesson for us to learn her? If Pakistan is opting Mi-28 over Z-10s and T-129, we shouldn't be surprised when we see Egypt opting for Mirage 2005 or other countries showing their reluctance for JF-17s. Just like earning the first million in business, first sale is always going to be a challenging milestone.
Actually Mi-35 which Russian want to sell to us without any Indian opposition on this helos.
Mi-28 is bit hard to predict to be in Pak at this current World stage.

dear main ya keh raha hn k china ny 48 su 36 liaye hain russia sy last year deal hui hai dekh to lay main kis cheez pe reply kia tha phr apni tqreer krna yaha
its Su-35 and there are only 24 which China want to buy for their Engines.

. .
Z-10 is heavey weight class. If there is chance of parallel procurement, we might see T-129 in addition to Mi-28s.

Platform ------ Empty Weight ----- Maximum Takeoff Weight

Mi-28 ------------ 7,890 kg -------------- 11,700 kg :enjoy:
Z-10 ------------- 5,540 kg -------------- 7,000+ kg
T-129 ----------- 2350 kg -------------- 5,000 kg :enjoy:
AH-1 ------------ 5,810 kg -------------- 9,500 kg

By the way, in addition to Mi-28s if Pakistan could procure 18-20 AH-1 Cobras from USA, that will suite it the most.

T129 should be compared with AH-1W, Tiger class copters which Super Cobra is operated by Turkish Land Forces. Apache, Mi-28 or Mi-35 are not same class copters.

T129 Atak is developed to provide one of the best service ceiling, competitive weapon payload and duration on a light fuselage than rivals.

Duration: 3h (onboard fuel)
Service Ceiling: 6096m (Heavy class Apache: 6400m)

Competitive Assymetric Weapon payload for one mission:
-8 Mizrak-U Missiles (Mizrak payload can be increased to 12)
-12 Cirit guided missiles / 76 rockets
-2 Stinger AA missile
-600 munition

If you check a bit heavier rivals like Tiger or AH-1W, You can see that Atak is a challenging attack helicopter thanks to top targetted specifications on lighter fuselage.

Tiger rate of Climb: 10,7m/s
AH-1W rate of Climb: 8,2m/s
AH-1Z rate of Climb: 14,2m/s
T129 Atak rate of climb: 14 m/s

Tiger ceiling: 4000m
AH-1W ceiling: 5703m
AH-1Z Ceiling: 6000+m
Atak Ceiling: 6096m

AH-1Z Power/MTOW: 0,4290shp/kg
Tiger Power/MTOW: 0,4343shp/kg
AH-1W Power/MTOW: 0,3886shp/kg
Atak Power/MTOW: 0,5444shp/kg

That's why TAI describes Atak as one of the best challenging light attack helicopter in its class.

In all this fight Indian trolls, my question regarding Mi-28 remained unanswered.

Does Mi-28 have Millimeter Wave Radar (MWR)? How effective is it? Is it comparable to those carried by Apache or Turkish A-129?

MWR is a must to fight invasion and to counter insurgency.

Luv this helicopter. Looks awesome.

The Foreign Office said in a statement issued here that Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow to discuss bilateral ties and regional situation.

"Aziz also expressed the hope that Pakistan's further request for defense equipment would also be considered soon as part of our continued defense collaboration," it said.

The Russian Foreign Minister welcomed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed the hope that constructive dialogue and improved relations between the two countries would be beneficial for the security and stability of the region.

Lavrov said that Russia is keen to expand its relations with Pakistan since close cooperation between Pakistan and Russia would not only benefit the two countries but would also help in building stability and prosperity in the region.

Aziz in his response said there was also a consensus in Pakistan for improving relations with Russia.

"The Prime Minister has a new vision for Pakistan. It is based on creating economic partnerships with nations. Pakistan, therefore, wanted to develop a multidimensional relationship with Russia in the fields of trade, energy, infrastructure development, defense and culture," he said.

Both the leaders agreed that the positive role of recent and forthcoming high level exchanges between the two countries would help in moving forward this objective.

During the meeting, situation in Afghanistan, cooperation in the efforts against extremism and terrorism, drugs control, and situation in the Middle East, including Syria and Iraq, were also discussed.

In the course of discussion, it was agreed that the forthcoming Summit meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Dushanbe in September would provide a useful opportunity for discussing the emerging situation in post-2014 Afghanistan.

Lavrov conveyed that Russia fully supported Pakistan's entry into SCO as a full member.

The two agreed that there was considerable scope for cooperation in the field of energy since Pakistan has a large scale programme to overcome its energy crisis and many Russian companies are keen to participate.
