Meet the Barracuda - the First Warship India Will Export

The original contract stated $58m for delivery no later the September 2014. It should be a good vessel for the mauritian coast guard. Congrats.

If this is being sold to the Mauritian coast guard, technically is this a warship? What ships are the sri lankans buying? Any specs on either?

SLNS Sayura, a former Indian Navy ship sold to Sri Lanka. It was later fitted with Chinese missiles.
So its an Indian made ship with Chinese weapons in service with Sri Lanka!

Its 1350 tons and 75 ft long.

Will come with a frontal naval gun as is standard. Can be upgraded to frigate standard but countries like Mauritius which only have coast guard and no navy are not very serious about additional firepower.

Machine guns can be of course places wherever the MCGS wishes to place them.
