MBDA set to begin production of SCALP Air lauched cruise missiles for IAF


Summary: MBDA will begin production of SCALP EG Air launched stealth cruise missile for Indian Air Force next month.
Deliveries will begin in Feb-March.
Missiles have a range more than 600km with pinpoint accuracy.

Good News for Bharati Defence enthusiasts,now they can draw plans to bomb Pakistan using this Missile, but nothing of value for us Pakistanis in it,since we are having comparable homegrown system in service for more then a decade.

IAF has Kh-59ME ALCMs for more than 18 years.
 
Raad 2 is incomparable period. Now India has demanded a 600km beyond range for its missiles you can expect the Raad 2 range to be increased from 550km to 700km

Low flying cruise missiles are difficult to detect and more difficult to intercept and offer more accuracy and range.
Purpose is to create deterrence. If your enemy knows that you possess weapons of the same caliber. He will think many times before attacking you.
