What's new

Maybe Pakistan should start thinking about creating another nuclear power in the shape of Turkey.

Actually, if Turkey wants, it can get better and much well tested weapons from North Korea. Pakistan has done merely one round of testing with fission only bombs. North Koreans have atleast a fusion boosted design capable of delivering 100-300 KT bomb.

Sometimes it makes me wonder, why India is not closing ties with NK. NK fits that role quite nicely.

Why don't you Indians make up your mind. It's you and America telling the world that's it's Pakistan which give NK the nuke technology, so whoes the daddy here?

What an idiotic thread. Pakistan's nuclear deterrence is exclusively India-specific. Even if it was not, it cannot be sold to any other country including Turkey. It's only for ourselves.

Even though our "patriotic" Generals and that nuclear black trader Dr. AQ Khan did sell nuclear technology (to Iran, Libya and North Korea) to fill their personal bank accounts; the establishment has learnt the lesson that money can be made elsewhere.

Generals can mint money from real-estate; no need to sell nuclear technology.
That Black Trader is father of Pakistani A Bomb, and please keep your burning arse due to Army aside, when discusaing any matter. These all shiny delivery systems were financed through these deals.

Nuclear proliferation will invite massive trouble.

Have we forgotten the episode of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan?

This is a matter in which even our closest allies will not support us. Pakistan cannot afford to become an irresponsible actor.

Nothing significant has happened yet but this move will be akin to opening the Pandora box.

At present, anti-nuclear lobbying is stepping-up its game and both US and Russia are reducing the size of their nuclear stockpiles. We need to maintain low-profile and stick to our regional interests.

I think Pakistan should strengthen turkey by providing Nukes , a mutual defense agreement is very need of time.

.
Rather giving tech, offer them nuclear umbrella as a bilateral agreement, replace the Americans nukes on Turkish soil with ours along with delivery systems. This will help them to say goodbye to NATO. NATO is becoming irrelevant to Turkey anyway when it's purpose was to protect Turkey against Russia. But now Turkey and Russia on good terms, and the real threat is actually coming from western countries, with the failed coup attempt as an obvious fact.

You know Turkey's GDP is about 850+ billion dollars. About 3 times the gdp of Pakistan. If they really want nuclear weapons, they can buy it from Russia, North Korea or even China. Heck, they can develop them on other own in less than an year. The hardest part in nuclear weapons development is getting hold of nuclear fissile material, which a number of countries are ready to supply, given the right price -- Including, and I kid you not, USA.

Your rants aside, if money can buy you this ultimate power, the Arab sheikhs would have been the biggest nuke power on Earth. Those who have it, are not stupid to dole it out for cash. You have to earn it on your own, no one, I repeat no one gives it for cash.

How many of America's nukes are in Turkey?
I think Pakistan and Turkey should get into a military alliance,
then Pak can replace American nukes.

.
W could extend a formal military alliance with nations such as Turkey, Iran and KSA and give them nukes similar to NATO. It might be a better way to throw out invasion threats/plans of hostile countries (Such as America invading Iran or Iran vs KSA[MAD Doctrine])...
