Maybe Pakistan should start thinking about creating another nuclear power in the shape of Turkey.

@Awan68

I think a better option for Muslim countries is to rally behind Turkey and demand a permanent Security Council seat for Turkey (with a right to veto) .. And if the UN does not concede, they should quit the UN en masse

This! We need a representative of the OIC that we all respect

Regarding handing over nukes

NO BODY does that, however we can continue to develop our arsenal and even get help from countries like Turkey snd then discuss providing a nuclear umbrella of sorts to our allies in future.

Now is not the right time and Turkey would agree but when the right time comes im sure both Turkey and Pakistan will be ready

bholy badshah, NK got its nuke tech from Pakistan.....just cause we dont publicise our program doesnt mean....
And yet, NK improved it to a 100-300 KT tested device while best Pakistan has to show is just 30 KT? Russians in their time also started with US atomic designs stolen by spies, but they ran with it and made the largest nuclear device in the world. Sure as hell NK is doing the same with Pakistani designs.

no body sells nukes kid..specially not to a 98% muslim majority state.
Everything is sold, for the right price. Pakistan sold nuclear weapons technology. Do you think you are the only ones capable of clandestine trade? BTW, Turkey and NK have nothing against each other and I doubt NK can be any further sanctioned. So there is no issue for NK selling anything to Turkey. -- If Turkey wants those. And, yes, I will not be surprised if Indians are also lining up for buying design and data. India has kept diplomatic relations with North Korea alive even though there is a great pressure to close it.

As a Pakistani I think Pakistan is on a path to building its economy which would enable its 210 or so million people to enjoy some of the privileges many economically strong (may be non-nuclear) countries provide for their people.

We already are in the middle of so many confrontations along our borders and so should avoid getting involved in unnecessary conflicts that may pause or stop our progress preventing the nation from getting where we should have been long ago and rightfully so.

Sometimes using the brain instead of the heart could bring identical results without any collateral damage.

Turkey is an an open book with zero secrecy towards the west.
There's absolutely no way they'd give up economic progress in exchange for some useless nukes.
It's destined to be a NATO country for the foreseeable future, regardless of the wet dreams of erdoğan worshippers.

Turkey is more than happy holding onto these:

Who ever in the world has the time and energy to make such silly threads.
Have you ever asked turkey, if they want to be a nuclear power?
If you want to sell or share technology, share it with saudia Arabia and be done with it...lol
The thing is, turkey is more advanced then us , if they wanted atomic weapons, they don't need us. They have the capability to make them, plus they also have the capability to bear the pressure.
Why don't you realise turkey is far more advanced then pakistan. They don't need a Third World country to make them nuclear power.
One should instead work on eliminating poverty and improving our living conditions. One should also focus on removing iur fault lines. We must remove our fault lines and then no matter what sanction may come, don't worry.

This piece should be seen in the context of the obvious coming US sanctions in the next months against Pakistan, so it wouldnt really matter even if the yanks found out.

Apart from Pakistan, Turkey has proven itself to be, time and again, the only other country amongst the Islamic world, mature, responsible, professional, capable and stable enough to be a nuclear power. The turks are proving their diplomatic will and national freedom to the world under Erdogan by standing up for certain issues. Pakistan has long since carried the mantle of bieng the sole muslim nuclearpower and we have paid very very dearly for that. Maybe it is time another nuclear power popped up to stand beside Pakistan. It would go a long way in increasing the global power of the Islamic world with not one but two extremely smart and powerful nuclear powers standing side by side in dettering our collective enemies from their nefrarious designs. Covert transfer of nuclear and advanced ballistic missle technology(MIRV and tactical straightup:D) from Pakistan to Turkey could see the latter attaining the mantle they deserve and should've got by now of standing beside the select group of nations impregnable to attack from outside forces. Heaven's know it would help Pakistan, not to be the only one. Frankly, we feel lonely in this realm.

Well I agree with you.. but at the same time I would say that nukes are not the solution. Instead, Pakistan should work on bringing Turkey closer to China.. and get China's help in getting closer to Russia.. scarp dollar, increase trade and work on modernizing conventional weapons..

Like... they can work on 5th generation fighter jets.. jet engines.. modern submarines.. etc..

If a couple of more Islamic countries with wealth and a couple more with technology (such as Malaysia) join in, it will be an EU type (or even more powerful) alliance.. But patience is the key here.. it will take 20-30 years to reach that stage..

Nukes? yeah maybe.. but only for deterrence..

I agree with you in bringing turkey closer to China but in the near future i see turkey bieng shot up like a turkey:D, and i dont want that country destroyed, love it too much, yet within 5-6 yrs, the Us will try to swoop in on them, no doubt about it if they cannot remove erdogan govt by subversion.

I think some nations offered to setup Nuclear power plant in UAE and also Saudia had interest in such technology

Pakistan just have not capitalized on the 100-200 Billion per sale like other nations
We are always late to make strategic capatalization while other nations Bank in the Sale and collect 100 Billion

Turkey is a nato member ... i think rather transferring the tech a defence pact would be more appropriate

Your rants aside, if money can buy you this ultimate power, the Arab sheikhs would have been the biggest nuke power on Earth. Those who have it, are not stupid to dole it out for cash. You have to earn it on your own, no one, I repeat no one gives it for cash.
Nukes are not a sophisticated weapon. A group of Ph.D's can easily develop one, given the resources and time. The countries are not developing Nukes because they know the repercussions of developing one. Also, the availability of fissile material is an issue and lack of Nuclear power plants, even having them draws with strict IAEA guidelines.

BS. the two facts, design and fissile materials are biggest technological challenges which are beyound the capacity of most nations.

Downloading a white paper on internet on how to make Atom bomb for dummies would have made Togo a nuclear power by now.

be a mature nuclear power, less childish
Keep Calm and Enjoy the keyboard warriors ...

That Black Trader is father of Pakistani A Bomb, and please keep your burning arse due to Army aside, when discusaing any matter. These all shiny delivery systems were financed through these deals.
