Massive Ambush in S. Waziristan

Soft-Warning
To all members....stay calm.
We don't lose our collective wits over a setback. Its unwise and very....American.
If it is very american to care for your citizens life like they did and lose their shit if anything happens like invading a fuckin country due to 9/11 then hell yes i want us to be very american. I want our military to invest into better vehicles and utilize drones. Care for the fuckin soldiers life. Not say oh you got martyred its no issue.

Better remove corruption from an acceptable practice in society and implement some semblance of law and order where justice is served to 50.0000001% before you can even dream of being American.

You can blame Musharraf all you like, but he did the right thing by denying the Americans a pretext for attack (on Pakistan).

And yet the Americans still attacked Pakistan 480 odd times.

So now you are going to teach us English as well....oh well, it must be the silly season :D.....let me spell it out for you.....while the random tweet you posted as you often do, claimed it was an ambush, the gentleman i quoted negated that and explained the scenario as an ongoing operation and most of our casualties occurred during running battles... anyways whatever and however, we lost seven brave men which is all that matters at the end of the day.
That was the initial information which if you saw he quoted and posted the ISPR statement over it as an update to the situation and is the tweet that i uploaded so there is no negation in regards to that other than the previous early reports which he himself has posted an update on? The only one who needs to be taught is you, i have no qualms with Panzerkiel but it seems i just live in your head rent free... Indeed the lives of those soldiers should matter more than your trivial nitpicking.

However, Afghan border is being used for supply of arms and other support. Since Tajik-Afghan border is porous, possibility of transferring the supplies from Tajikistan via Afghanistan to Pakistani terrorist CP cannot be ruled out. Recent interception of such supply truck could be one of the those transfers.
Chinese border patrols already detain you if you cross the (unfenced) China-Pakistan border near Wakhan because weapons or people from Tajikistan try to infiltrate into Xinjiang. I've also heard that people from Tajikistan cross the border to incite Pakistanis into infiltrating into China. So this is a very real possibility.

You'll be surprised how easy it is to make explosives from materials available at our homes.

If only someone could teach our Kashmiri brothers in iok. They can resist Indian army them self and bring ieds to iok
They are not crossing the border at all.... They are sleepers aided by facilitators...

Wouldn’t it be better our army withdraw from waziristan but still control the border with Afghanistan and waziristan and control the border of waziristan and Pakistan. We let them do their thing and live in their dark age and we control the supply of everything going in and out of waziristan. Our army won’t have to lose lives fighting for people who see us as their enemies and we can isolate waziristan and force terrorists to listen to our demands if they want us to allow food and medical supplies to go there.

Not without tacit permission and finding ways to make profit from it.

Long time ago, I once saw a Hamid Mir Program and in which he mentioned a list of clashes between US/Nato and Pakistan Army, if my memory works fine there were some causalities even on both side he mentions, I think it was wrt OBL raid or Salala Attack, but I was shocked to know that US/Nato army and PA has exchange fires at the border, do you know anything about it?

.
who is going to be the next COAS? this kinda reaction was expected after Afghanistan, may Allah save us all

@PanzerKiel @Blacklight - out of curiosity and if you’re willing to humor me -

Very roughly :

1. how many rank levels down is the lt or captain leading such a patrol?

2. how many lts or captians are there in PA? does the COAS know them all by name and pass orders or control ops directly

3. How many Active duty personnel does a COAS directly control down to their training, morale and equipment for that exact mission?

4. How many inputs go into planning such a mission and the general gathering/accuracy?

I just want to understand the direct connection between these deaths and the ratio of comments on the COAS or PM(not that he isn’t immune to critique ) being directly responsible.

That being said - Montgomery did El Alamein, Mareth, Overlord but Market Garden kept haunting his legacy.

Unfortunately for the current COAS, his “failures” are being documented and the disasters by other previous COAS leadership circle during the early ops or going further into how the entire PAF war plan in 65 was essentially botched is never the big game.

Such is history and judgement.
The head of the department is always to blame. while he may not be micro-managing anything, he is responsible for all that happens under him. isnt this the way army itself punishes commanders? if a subordinate does something disastrous, along with that subordinate the unit commander also loses his command/seniority. this principle needs to be applied at the top most level as well.

A single Nimitz class carrier needs almost 5 miles of space to completely turn around in normal uninterrupted conditions
.... And here we are talking about a million strong armed forces and decades old doctrine and equipment, plagued by lack of money and resources.... With triple stretch conditions, with half of the world against you, no guaranteed support base like Israel has...
