PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has said that her party is open to dialogue with the military establishment "within the ambit of the Constitution" and provided that the incumbent PTI government is removed from office.
"The army is my institution," Maryam said in an interview with BBC Urdu. "We will definitely talk but within the ambit of the Constitution," she added.
The PML-N leader said she was not against state institutions but stressed that there would be no dialogue in secret.
The "incumbent government will have to go if we are to move forward", she added.
Maryam claimed that the "establishment had reached out to her close aides" but had not "contacted her directly".
She also said the idea of dialogue through the platform of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) can be deliberated upon.

Minus Imran Khan
"The dialogue is with the people now," she said, adding that the incumbent government was "so nervous" over the public response that "they do not know how to react".
"The biggest stakeholders are the public," she said, dismissing the notion that the PML-N was headed towards a dead-end due to its politics.
Maryam said her party has its own narrative while PPP had its own.
Refusing to comment on a "minus-Imran Khan" strategy, Maryam said it was necessary to remove the PTI government to take the country out of its current crisis.
"Whenever the government takes notice of a commodity, its prices shoot up," she said.
"The biggest issue is that people's mandate was stolen. We need free and fair elections," she said. "It is time for the incumbent government to be held accountable."
Maryam ruled out a coalition with PTI ahead of the Gilgit-Baltistan polls, saying that it did not make sense to form a coalition when the incumbent government was "weakened".

Utter disgrace. Establishment is once again contacting these convicted criminals for NRO and deal.

So she wants to be the "selected" one?????

Lol.

Modi's spies PML-N

I agree with most members, it's utter stupidity in letting this convicted queen Calibiri speaking vomit against the State, then has the guts to speak to the establishment once the PTI is sent packing, If indeed the establishment is trying to reach out to Godfather league minus PTI, it will be a very grave mistake, do you think IK is going to sit quietly and let this go?

Stupid, she just removed any chance if there was any by calling out in public :D

She is just trying to save her party from dismantling, utter disgrace. They themselves don't know what they actually want :D
On one hand she is talking about Constitution on other talking about removing the democratic government via establishment deal
Very unconstitutional

Bigots at their worst

Btw why would establishment do this and strengthen the hands that would try to grapple the nation

Fissures already arising in pdm and pmln forward block's giving statements condemning pmln higher ups for anti army statements

Pmln and military is in contact since many years and I belived military will bow down to Pmln and make them or maryam a fake leader just like they created many leaders in the past. I hope this dirty tactics and play will not happen.

Assuming the establishment is in contact which is possible only confirms the said fact that the Pakistani state is weak. The problem is the country is too fractured. Whether we like it millions do vote PML-N, millions of Sindhi's vote for PPP and millions of Mohajirs vote for MQM. This reflected the heavily divided society and I struggle to use the word 'society' because that suggests Pakistan has one society when the truth is it has many societies scraping and colliding with each other to try and extract the best deal. All are adamant they are victims and should from the rooftops. Many don't shout but even pick up the gun.

The only thing that holds this madness together is the military - a role that it's parent performed for the British Raj. Don't forget it was the British Indian Army that held the Raj together for nearly 200 years. But all the while this blunt instrument has to be excercised wisely as things can go wrong - the British left because they knew things were getting dicey. We saw 1971 again what can happen.

That is the fear of the establishment and the reason why they never go past a certain point lewst the rope they are using tears under pressure.

What makes you so confident that status quo has not strengthened over the past 2 years?

PMLN and PPP are stronger by design of how and why PTI was created with loose ends from both parties.

Establishment has played her cards well. It remains to be seen where would things be as "divine intervention" nears at a rapid pace.

Utter disgrace. Establishment is once again contacting these convicted criminals for NRO and deal.
The Establishment isn't contacting the PMLN Leadership, the PMLN leadership is begging the Establishment to support them in returning to power by removing the elected PTI government unconstitutionally.

So much for the PMLN calling for 'respect the vote, constitution & no interference from the military in politics'.
Abdul Qadir Baloch said about her " is ko PM bana ki bohat jaldi ha"
one can expect such bongian.
Botox services in Pakistan are probably not quite as good as those available in the UK.

She's in a hurry to get power so she can travel abroad on taxpayer money and get her preferred cosmetic procedures done.

What about the voters who put PTI in governance? Do they get disenfranchised just because NS' progeny want a get out of jail card for their father?

How aptly did Iqbal describe the NS/Zardari lot:

"Jaffer az Bangal o Sadiq az Daccan
Nang-e-millat, nang-e-deen, nang-e-watan"
