Italy is trying to involve whole of the EU. Even when EU is not interested ..

EU is highly interested because we speak as one. Thats why free trade talks are ended and fruit imports from india are banned. India currently acts like a rough state similar to North Korea and thats not in our interest.

Reason is simple .Italy cant face India directly .They are still struggling even if they involved EU.That what would be the situation if they challenge us one on one.

Italy can face india and did so pretty sucessful. So far india back down to evry demand we did.

One marine is home and won´t come back. The other one was not one day in jail and walks free, works in embassy and attends night clubs and party. The court has dropped that laughable terrorist law. What we see now are the last aspects of incompetence. It will be solved soon.

To give you a hint, when an EU team rescues hostages it would leave the indian ones behind at the pirates, since it would not be acceptable for italian military forces to risk life and time on nations of a hostile nation.

EU block do have issues but the 28 member country block do work to sort out differences. Italy did tried to involve UN as well as United States but both were not ready to involve and ask Italy to solve the issue with Republic of India.

EU Parliament did adopted resolution seeking the return of the marines to Italy and a change of jurisdiction and the case be settled under Italian jurisdiction and/or through international arbitration which was rejected by India.

Spokesperson for the External Affairs Ministry Syed Akbaruddin said: "The Honourable Supreme Court of India, in its ruling on 14th January, 2015, has granted three months extension to the Italian marine, Massimiliano Latorre, for his stay in Italy on health grounds and the other marine, Salvatore Girone is living in the Italian Embassy in New Delhi. Under these circumstances, the European Parliament would have been well advised not to adopt the Resolution."
