Whom you voted? NCP or Shiv Sena?
Why should I tell you who I voted for? Anyway, I couldn't vote as there was some problem with my name in the voter list. This is the 2nd time I couldn't vote and it's my fault/laziness that I didn't rectify it.

Just to let you know, in Maharashtra, an alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress is at the helm.

In London School of Economics (LSE) there was a talk by a prominent Indian journalist, whom I shall not name for his own safety and security, prior to the last election. He had cautioned the audience to have their names checked on the voters' list as there is a possibility of doctoring of the list by BJP. You should indeed have checked it out, whether you support INC, BJP, or any other party.

I am, however, curious about Shiv Sena and Congress alliance. Does it mean that Congress is shedding its secular-liberal skin? Even if it would be an interest-based alliance it would seem like a betrayal to Congress' Muslim supporters. In any case, I do not expect Congress to make any major changes to the wrongdoings of BJP once they come to power. After all, they not only did not pause the overt Indian nuclear weapons programme initiated by BJP but instead kept it apace after replacing BJP government. Previously, Congress preferred having tacit nuclear capability without weaponization. If I were an Indian I would be cautious of Congress not BJP. BJP does what is expected of it. Congress stands against its own words.

Not sure about the journalist you mentioned but I fully trust the Indian Election Commission regardless of who is at the helm.

Regarding Shiv Sena and Congress, you mentioned that Congress is shedding its secular liberal skin. But people are looking at it the other way around here. People are saying that Shiv Sena is shedding its rightist tendencies to stay in power by having an alliance with Congress and NCP.

:hitwall::hitwall::hitwall: You are on a Pakistani Defense forum, usually go on about spewing hatred about Pakistan Military and General publics treatment towards minorities and you didn't know that? - Shame
It's not clear anywhere on PDF that Pakistani Hindus are in army. And I'm anyway new on PDF, maybe 2-3 months. I haven't seen any Pakistani Hindu/Christian on PDF so my surprise is expected.

So I looked at the video and she had good points but was incoherent in a few places. Her example on Triple Talaq she mentioned where a Muslim woman said "I'll never send my husband to jail. Mai sahan karugi par jail nahi bhejugi". I'm against this victim mentality. This is clear promotion of a woman being inferior to man and tolerating him just because he is her husband. If women continue thinking like this, then they won't progress.

Sindhi Hindus also worship different deities and even bury their dead.

Do you remember Sepoy Lal Chand who embraced martyrdom in FATA,

here is his grave:

Yes, in principle Jholay Lal.

Indeed, sepoy Lal Chand did not come to my mind, nor was I aware of his burial.

Now I am curious as to how much have the Sindhi Hindus in India assimilated into the mainstream Hinduism there?

Thought to share this video from Umarkot, also known as Amarkot, in Sindh. This is the city on the night Diwali 2019. A large population of Hindus of Sindh either live or belong to this city.

Congress is in alliance with Muslim League in Kerala and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra ......

That is an interesting take. Certainly, something to observe in the coming days.

There have been some threads and posts about them. Christians were very active in PAF and have fought against India in 1965 and 1971. This includes some of the Polish PAF officers as well. I have met at least one Pakistan Army Brigadier who was Christian, and he was quite a prominent soldier. We have Major Harcharan Singh, a Sikh, currently serving in the army. Hindus have also been part of the forces though not in large quantities. Usually, the Hindus of Sindh either become doctors or businessmen as that is more lucrative. But recently there has been a trend of people from Thar region of Sindh joining the forces and sizable population of Thar is Hindu. I think there might be many more Hindus in Pakistan Rangers. Maybe someone more hands-on with inductions would be able to inform you.

Congress is in alliance with Muslim League in Kerala and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra ......

Very complex dynamics. But then that's politics.

He is a fascist what did you expect?

Why do you like to pollute every thread with your presence? There was not one negative comment and here you come with your bigotry.
I know I will get another stupid reply so save your effort. I won't be replying to you.

Didn't know there were Pakistani Hindus in army as well. Good to see them fighting for your country.

And it doesn't matter whether you bury your dead or burn them. Ultimately, what matters is how you lived your life.
Didnt know all fascist are obsessed with Pakistan.

alliance of necessities. The Shiv Sena felt the BJP wasn't giving it enough and got pissed, and Congress and NCP couldn't rule without their support.
