Maoists blow up seven wings of govt. building in Bihar

Maoists on Thursday blasted around seven wings of a building of the State Irrigation department in Aurangabad district.

The incident took place around 2.30 a.m. near Bigha village in Deo block, on the Deo-Abma road. Around 50 to 100 hundred Maoists attacked the building and blasted it, the police said.

“The building has seven structures, which were being repaired by the Irrigation department. Two of them have been severely damaged, while the remaining five have been partially damaged,” Daljeet Singh, superintendent of police, Aurangabad, told The Hindu.

The police have also recovered a “live cane bomb, which we have defused. It kept to trap the police and the bomb disposal squad,” Mr. Singh said.

He said there was no plan to move teams of the Central Reserve Police Force to the building.

A case under the Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act has been registered.

Just a few days ago Maoist attacked an "electricity sub station" in Bihar.

A power sub-station was blown up by armed Maoists in a village in Bihar’s naxal-infested Jamui District, police said.

The Maoists, numbering over 100, stormed the sub-station in Badigram village on Sunday night and blew it up with explosives, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Virendra Sahu said on Monday.

A room of the power sub-station was totally wrecked in the explosion hitting power supply, Sahu said.

Some employees at the sub-station managed to escape just in time, Sahu said.

A case has been registered and a search for the Maoists was being made.

Shame on Theses Maoists. Too much talk about people equality, people food, wefare etc. They are hiting the core/ the base to provide basic necessities to people.

I'm not able to understand how blowing schools depriving kids u want to rule from education, blowing hospitals and shutting all hope of people to have healthy lives, damaging roads/ rail network to make sure people do not get bare necessities to live and now damaging irrigation deptt to ensure people would not get water required to grow food??

Not sure what good these scums will bring to the people? Also I'm not able to understand how gullible people can be!!
