Mangal Baagh, Fazlullah, Brahamdagh most-wanted terrorists

LAHORE In a major development, the Federal government has formally included the names of top militants including Mangal Baagh, Maulvi Fazlullah, and Brahamdagh Bugti in the list of most wanted terrorists, it was reliably learnt here on Wednesday.
Well-informed sources confided to The Nation that the government took the action following the intelligence reports sent to the authorities by different security agencies which indicated that the trio is orchestrating and fomenting deadly terror attacks and targeted assassinations across the country from their safe havens located in Afghanistan.
They are anti-Pakistan elements and miscreants who are operating from Afghanistan and fuelling unrest in FATA and Balochistan to destabilise Pakistan, quoting a confidential report, a senior official in the Federal government told this reporter.
He further revealed that the security agencies had given enough evidence to the government to prove their involvement in the terror attacks, taking place in insurgency-hit northwest region and Balochistan and to put their names among the most wanted terrorists.
The saboteurs, arms, ammunition, explosives and funds are all being funnelled into Pakistan from Afghanistan to aid anti-Pakistan forces in Balochistan and FATA. Armed attacks by foreign militants in Chitral from Kunar / Nooristan provinces (Afghanistan) are the recent examples, the report said.
It was also learnt that Pakistans diplomats, serving in regional states and other powerful countries, had been asked to step up their efforts to press Afghanistan to handover the most wanted terrorists to Islamabad as the move would help create stability in the region.
Sources also said that India is behind the unrest in Pakistans Balochistan province. Different leaders of separatists Baloch youth groups are found holding meetings with the Indian diplomats in London, according to sources.
They also said that the militants belonging to Fazlullah and Mangal Baagh have carried out multiple attacks on Pakistanis and Pak Armed Forces in Peshawar and FATA in recent years.
The militants of these groups are also involved in several abductions and targeted killings across FATA. Sources believed that because Mangal Baagh, Maulvi Fazlullah, and Brahamdagh Bugti have the same anti-Pakistan agenda ,therefore, they had been supporting each other in carrying out deadly attacks on minorities and ethnic tribes.
Taliban commanders Mangal Baagh, Maulvi Fazlullah and Baloch separatist leader Brahamdagh Bugti are getting foreign support in terms of weapons, finances and training. Such foreign support to the terrorists needs to be collectively checked by the coalition partners in the war on terror.
There is enough evidence beyond any doubt that Indian hands are involved in Balochistan.
Although India has been biased in its attitude to implicate Pakistan in Mumbai attacks, yet Pakistan has shown its willingness to go an extra mile to help India to punish the perpetrators. There is a need to uncover the truth, ignored by India, that local support was made available to the terrorists from within India to launch Mumbai attacks, observers said.
Security expert say that some foreign powers are feeding cash and ammunition to terrorists to carry out attacks against countrys security forces in order to put more pressure on Islamabad to undertake military action in FATA.
They said that New Delhi had been sponsoring unrest in Balochistan for decades. Solid proof of Indias involvement in anti-Pakistan terror campaign comes from the fact that it has given Indian passport to Brahamdagh Bugti for travel purposes.
The Pakistani government has time and again asked the Indian authorities to cancel the passport of Brahamdagh Bugti, who heads an outlawed Baloch terrorist group.
Islamabad is also in constant contact with Kabul to ensure extradition of Brahamdagh Bugti to Pakistan from Afghanistan.
He has been responsible for attacks against Punjabis and religious minorities living in Balochistan. His terror group routinely blows up gas pipelines, government installations and attacks Armed Forces. Pakistan has handed over the proof of his involvement in subversive activities to different authorities in the region and waiting for their response.
Brahamdagh Bugti has been on the run since 2006 and took refuge in Afghanistan. He stayed in Kabul in the heyday of the Indian presence there. He had directed terror attacks against Pakistan for almost four years from his plush home in Kabul.
It is important to mention here that Bugtis stay in Kabul had been a bone of contention between Pakistan and the Karzai government. His presence in Afghanistan also sparked a diplomatic row between Kabul and Islamabad.
Maulana Fazlullah; Born in 1979 and nicknamed Mullah Radio, is the leader of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM), a banned fundamentalist militant group, allied to the Pakistani Taliban, that aims to enforce Shariah in the country. He is the son-in-law of the groups founder, Sufi Muhammad.
Mangal Bagh was born in 1973 as he is also known as Mangal Bagh Afridi. He is the leader of Lashkar-e-Islam, a terrorist organisation operating in Khyber Agency.
He is from Bara tehsil and belongs to the Sipah Afridi tribe. A former bus driver, he is at the forefront of the increasing unrest in the Tribal Areas.
