Maneka opposes cow slaughter for Army sneakers, stalls project.

1980993]like celebrating by killing hundreds of cows on roads without mercy.....

Seeing the cow die which gives milk which is fed to each n every baby out there is pleasing a invisible god????[/B]

But the same mother cow is being slaughtered for MAKING shoes for indian armymen so you approve killing of cows in this case??

Don't promote heated arguments. Gonna end up as a flame thread (already is one I guess).
To be honest a normal person does not worry about cows roaming on the street choking on the garbage it eats or the leather belts and shoes that they wear. It's only when certain politicians and religious bodies raise these arguments do these issues come up.
There are groups whose sentiments are hurt when cows or any other animals are slaughtered in public. People every where may want to jump on the issue, but an average citizen has better things to worry about.
So as one of the top 3 exporters of Beef in the world, a normal Indian or the government does not mind cowslaughter. If you find laws or political parties with campaigns it's all an eyewash.

Is it mandatory in Islam to slaughter a cow on Eid. Any phrases directing it to be a mandatory ritual from the holly book would be appreciated.
I am seriously requesting for sake of learning.

But it is still the law for Manipur today. Slaughtering of cows is banned there.

Duude...Manipuris eat everything. It's as cut off from Mainland India as you can get. There are tribes there that were cannibalistic and some of the local "kings" still have "shrunken head trophies" that their ancestors had won. The beef argument was an attempt of the politician to join mainstream politics.

lol, you're a funny guy. I know you're not intentionally being funny but thanks for the laughs. Truth is, your kind are on a fast decline and hold no real power. Sort of like the ku klux klan - Indian chapter.

Btw, we did slaughter a cow last week.....it was good.

Yes,even slaughtering pig is going on n putting it in a holy place!!!...

Whether it is or not i believe one must respect the laws of the land they live in. Whether its the USA India or Pakistan. If you live in India and live next to hindu or sikhs one has to use tact and not disrespect thier religion by sacrificing a cow. There are other means and things you can do.
