FIRST OF ALL this thread is a TROLL One itself when your Hindu Indian put the tag "MUSLIM MAN with 4 wives"

The question if he was poor because of that then why HINDU farmers with SINGLE wife are poorer and commit suicide every now and then in India.

Get your own acts right and then speak about others.

I repeat the same dialogue which you yourself have used in other threads. If you want, you can open a thread on Hindu Farmers committing suicide. I shall be obliged to comment on that thread if I see that.

Educated people and upper class people arrange multiple marriage more...Atleast in gujarat.. They try to make it legal by calling "Maitri Karar" or "Service agremments" (Dont remember exact word)...

In western country also its common, they marry and later will have relationship with many women (They make aagreement for livin) they dont call it marriage but they do every thing like they do with wife...except there is no right for her after his death!

Maitri Karal is not legal now i think, but still many people do as i heard...

having relation ship with many woman is not problem.....
but having many wife is....with 19-19 children.......
many men and woman have multiple relationship in their life ....but do not have a cricket and football team together at home....
every child is a asset to the nation.....and its the responsibility of the family to provide quality education and health and all necessary amenities to the child....you have meager earning how will u educate the children..you will not be able to provide basic health facilities to ur wife and children....and then you will curse the govt. for not doing anything........
its nothing but hypocrisy ......

see multiple relation depends on society......in our conservative society ..yes, its considered as taboo....
but, in west many don't marry and have relations and even if they get married they get divorced and live in free will....

If single wife and few kids were guarantee that one wont commit suicide and one will be super rich then these Hindu farmers wont be committing suicide

I too have the same view.....

But i dont think those married more complains government for their life..

Also, I never see poor people as burden to country.

I know there are family with 10 children doing good and enjoying...In the same way i know the family which suffers with 1 child. Ambedkar is 14th child...

Problem is not them being poor. Big family adds to poverty and lower living standards. It is pretty much common sense. But this practice is not stopped or even hampered. Neither at the institutional level nor at the community level. It is not that people with small families - even if they are Muslims - are not poor or that they are doing everything right. But if someone knowingly jumps in the well, he stands out. In this case, the Muslim community of India.

They are below average, generally poorest among major religions in India. Despite that certain activities are pretty much promoted which adds to their impoverishment. They are not the only community to be scrutinised, but they stand out cause of political/regional/religious issues.

Comparing this case to that Hindu farmer - that Hindu farmer did his best to overcome the poverty and failed. The man with four wives pretty much dug his own grave. If someone does something extraordinary towards his own downfall, it becomes news...

I've one thing to say, we should never judge another's culture practice as 'wrong' because we are judging by our own cultural yardstick. This process is from where discrimination and eventually othering starts. He died, is that not enough? Many people cannot afford their families either.
