Man fined, jailed over second marriage without first wife’s permission

I have read Quran several times and Janab still I can tell you over and over again no permission from first wife is required. This law is not based on Quran and Sunnah but totally opposite to it.

The non permissions and haram have been clearly told in Quran. Quran keeping silent in itself doesn't qualify as something haram. Now will you please quote a verse that clearly prohibits a state to formulate a law that needs the husband to seek permission from his first wife for second marriage?

You are transgressing really by saying that this law is not in accordance with Quran.

And it's not protecting women rights Janab only creating more issues in society the cases of wife either getting divorced and thrown out of house with no one to care off because she didn't allowed husband 2nd marriage or even worse getting killed are increasing massively.

For goodness sake ....... a just civilised law cannot be blamed for how animals behave. Please try understanding that and put the blame on party that deserves it ....... in this case men who wish to sleep with different women not because they feel those women are poor helpless and dependent but because they themselves have urge to have sex with different women.

Sorry this freedom is what ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW have given followed by Sahabas and let me remind you lot of Sahabas were seriously poor still many of them had more than one wife. You need to do ALLAH ka khauf and stop justifying a Haram thing.

Can you mention how long Hazrat Khadeeja (May ALLAH be pleased with her) remained in nikkah with Muhammad Peace be upon him and did Muhammad peace be upon him marry another woman in her presence? Can you please equate all marriages of Messenger Peace be upon him with marriages of any other person ....... the intent and purpose behind those marriages? Do you even know why Muhammad Peace be upon him married Ayesha (May ALLAH be pleased with her). And stop painting all of the companions of Messenger as poor and destitute ......

Now Islam is the most civilized way of life and Islam allows man to marry up to 4 times without taking permission from any wife but he has to give them equal rights. He doesn't need permission from first wife. And when you ban and close Halal gates you tend to open Haram ones which would make sure that many civilized guys even turn into uncivilized ones. Yes I know their were super rich Sahabas like Hazrat Usman RA and Hazrat Abdur Rahman Bin Auf RA and few others but I can also give you long long long list of poor Sahabas who still had more than one wife.

Yes, it's the prohibition/hurmat that has to be proven from the Holy Qur'an/Sunnah in order to declare something Haram ... But here we have maulana mufti @Zarvan sahib who is absolutely clueless on what "Haram" actually means but is still issuing fatwas of Haram/Halal, of course without quoting a single verse/Hadith to support his POV .....

In August of 1955, (i.e 3 years before Ayub imposed martial law) the government had appointed a seven-member Commission to study the existing laws of marriage, divorce, and family maintenance and to make recommendations for reform. The Commission was composed of six Modernists (three men and three women) and one Traditionalist religious scholar, Maulana lhteshamul Haq. The Commission composed a questionnaire, issued thousands to the public, and urged citizens to respond in order that the Commission might fashion its recommendations in accordance with public opinion.

The Commission specifically claimed in its Report that independent legal reasoning, or Ijtihad, and the subsequent interpretation and application of family laws while formerly limited to Mujtahids, was in fact an endeavor that any secular judge could participate in. Indeed, any man or woman might be able to engage in ljtihad


The recommendations were submitted by the Commission in 1956, and in 1961 the Family Ordinance Law was enacted under the rule of Ayub Khan in accordance with those recommendations.

Do you know that the position held by the majority of ulema (since the very beginning) has been that something that has been allowed by almighty can be banned (if needed) in any specific place/time if their is consensus among the ulema regarding the ban ? You sure are one ignorant fellow

And the only one trying to play God here is "you". As for worshiping scholars, again , it's only you who is a blind follower of mullahs and who refuses to use his own reasoning faculty.

No it is never the consensus things made halal by ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW can't be stopped or changed Janab only new matters Ijtihad is done

They have Muslim personal laws which let them sell 12 year olds to Arabs.

You need more education.

Nature of Islam you dont go around hitching women. A man's permitted given the first wife(s) is infertile, sick, or can't attend to her duty.

Or there are more widows, some compulsion(a situation) or many situations like this when no body wants to marry a woman , but yes, most of the guys are ready to mingle with her without marriage. This selfishness is something that westerners don't even recognize as selfishness, and women are there needing help from family.
But there is no one to make family with her.
And there comes a judge, (&#^^%&$(&#)*#!!!
