We have seen enough of this concern at both Kudankoolam and Jaitapur.
All that is required are some people who can generate fear by I'll informed campaign in local population.
Exactly- economic terrorism.

+ The GoI (and to its credit the last one also-to an extent) seem to be on top of this menace to a large degree, cutting off their ability to source funding outside of India was a masterstroke, watch these parasites and cockroaches slowly wither and die now....

The NGO menace had to be tackled especially the ones who are creating a chaos in name of representing people. A lot of these really have ulterior motives which are in no manner even remotely concerned with welfare of people they claim to represent. Unfortunately it brings bad name to quite a few of those who really are doing a commendable job of creating awareness and support in fields of child health, sanitation and education.

Minerals should be wisely used. If not, nothing will be gained.

My state Jharkhand produces 33% of minerals produced by India yearly. But despite of producing largest amount of good quality coal in India, my city Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand has big power cuts.

We have a power plant in Patratu with 840 MW capacity but it has been running at a mere 10% FLP. Reason? Because coal mined here is first sent to power stations near Delhi and Mumbai.

Hope our people stand up in arms and not let a single for piece of coal supplied outside Jharkhand untill our needs are fullfilled.

PS :- And yes I don't mean naxalites as our people here.

We mine here everything for India. From Iron ore to Bauxite, from Coal to Mica. But we still are no better than people living in sub Saharan regions.

Also the mines near Jadugoda in my state are stated by the Government of India to have largest deposit in India and the mine is nearly 1 km deep. New small mined are being discovered every now and then near the big one. But despite Jharkhand being in one of the most safest zone with respect to Earth Quakes and seismic activity, we haven't got even a proposal of setting up a nuclear power plant here. I don't want to say this but often Government of India is biased towards bigger cites and big states. :undecided:

Bro you do know building Nuclear power plants in a land locked state is not a good idea. There is a reason why majority of plants are built facing sea. Its safe, in case of any problems they can flood the area. Second, Nuk plants require large amount of water, which they can utilise from sea.

To be honest, I will be happy if the power from Nuclear power plants from KKNPP or Kalpakkam plant is shared with Jharkhand or Chattisgarh, instead of hypocritical state like Kerala, which does not want Nuclear power within its focking borders but want Nuclear power produced from other states.

Sir, when you own an Island with Gold mines, will you buy gold ornaments from a neighbouring island? Will not your first priority will be to start utilizing your own resources, same here. We have everything needed to build anything which China produces in our own state without any external support. But because of ignorance, it doesn't happen.

PS Sir don't take my statement as anti Indian in sense. People here are more than willing to die for India as anywhere else.

Of course not. Your point have a merit. But politicians are more than happy to fill their coffers first.

@Rajaraja Chola

And on Water needed for nuke power plant. Sir last year the Government of India mentioned 3 regions which they intend to develop hydroelectric plants on large scale. The regions were North East( Especially Arunachal Pradesh), Western Ghats and Jharkhand.
So by no means there will be problem regarding scarcity of water. As despite having huge water resources, Jharkhand is not having that big populations which will be affected if water from rivers here are used. Secondly a more sad reality, you mentioned that in case of any mishaps, sea will be helpful.

Sir do you know where in India nuclear waste is dumped? Its again my state. It will not make the matters more worst if some more amount is dumped here.
