Major breakthrough on naval reactor + propulsion system

. . .
that's why I said it will take 10 years from now to induct a SSN in PN. Some one debated that , Pakistan's way of procuring is way different from India, yes it is. But when it comes to SSN you need to have battle groups, elf , vlf bases, and training.

Nuclear submarine project is different (submarine with nuclear reactor) and research for this project was initiated 2005 or 2007 (as per rumors)

Nuclear attack submarine like an AIP sub with the capability of firing nuclear capable cruise or ballistic missiles is different. (theoretically even A-90 can be used to launch Babar missile) our immediate target is to achieve this operational capability, two different things two different programs ...

So how do you evwn know that it will take 10 years when we have been hearing about it since 2006 (That's like 11 years since Musharaf announced the news)

It is not not so important what people belief, the more important question is what they want to believe; so we can neither question their belief nor their intention of to believe something.

An SSBN requires 14 vessels to keep it on a standby, which is a nuclear submarine fleet.
Sir,
What are the consequences of less than 14 vessels....

Pakistan has got IO region. To communicate in Extremely low frequency(ELF) you need vessels
Exactly 14 vessels not 12 or 13?

As you are hell bent on proving how stupid you are, for Pakistan's SSBN theater of operations, a small fleet of vessels will suffice along with a shore based ELF system. You don't need a high bit rate for coded messages.
They know that they are looking stupid by those theories, but its beyond my mind, why they do that?

....and you're also shameless. My job here is done.
Brother, You should remember he is Indian. They are proud of these things... Chankiya policy at work

2006: Musharaf announces that we will build a nuclear sub.

2008: News reports.

2012: Canisterised Babar CM tested.

2012: DESTO (Pak govt Ministry if defence site) reports long ranged version of Babar CM (basic versions range is 750 KM).

2012: Naval Strategic Command established.

2013-14: News (Pak TV) that Pakistan has started development of nuclear sub that will take 5-7 years.
Its impossible pakistan cant make a space shuttle, how could they manage to build a propulsion system of NEUCLEAR SUBMARINE... Reasons are
1. Pakistan have no money
2. They have no industrial infrastucture
3. Pakistanis have no brains to do that
4. Terrorist state
5. Hafiz saeed
blah blah blah......!!!

Jaeeee Hind

14 conventional vessels for a nuclear sub. wow.

Cant have an SSN or SSBN bcz you dont have ELF base.

Bro. You should really consider altering your signature a little bit.
I dont think you are aware of Typical Indian Trolls

From the initial post I have been talking about SSN. A nuclear powered submarine, like Arihant. For what else you need ELF then?

This thread was about breakthrough on naval reactor system. If you have deployed SLBMs on Diesel-Eelectric AIP, you need more bases in the sea, and the requirement for a battle group hence increases.

Sir,

You already possess 12.

The consequences are close to zero for short radius combat, but when you are in the deep sea, a sub needs NCW capabilities. For that you use 1 vessel, two vessel or 18 or 1000 vessels is up to you standard of money spending capability

.
Do you have a base with ELF capability?

14 vessels is the modus operadi of blue water navy , US, India, England , and now China .. all operate in 14 vessel why?
because one of the immediate tasks delineated by the Navy in "From the Sea" is to continue the full integration of SSNs into expeditionary task forces. To be effective units of a Naval Task Group within a joint, Tailored Forward Element (TFE), submarines must be fully interoperable with both Naval and Joint communication systems. Submarines must be capable of tailoring on-board capabilities to optimize their support for the Joint Task Force (JTF) and Naval Component Commanders.

Coordination between multiple assets such as aircraft, surface ships, and submarines is critical to an effective ASW campaign. Integration of submarines into an overall ASW effort, arguably the most effective platform for wide area search and tracking, has traditionally been hampered by lack of or minimal communications to the submarine while deep.

Do you have proof that we dont?. So far there is still NOTHING to show that 14 vessels are needed. The rest is all as is shown in later posts; clutching at straws. So unless you really have something to add beyond the usual baseless parroting, we are done here.

.
Lol I my post was about differentiating an ELF, coming from radar or product of lightening.
Arey bhai if a communication officer cant differentiate between radar signal n noise created by lightening or any other patakha thn he/she should be stripped of degree n job.

plz let me refresh your memory below is your post where you were establishing your argument of '14 vessel' on the basis of an article (quoted by you in your post: The Consequences of a Pakistani Sea-Based Nuclear Second Strike Capability | The Diplomat) which is actually debating about the Pakistan's requirement of AIP base submarines not about the Nuclear submarine. (as debated in my previous post # 112 & post # 119 )

An SSBN requires 14 vessels to keep it on a standby, which is a nuclear submarine fleet. Musharraf did increase from 10 to 12 , now since 4 more F22p's are arriving that means, in 10 years Pakistan will lease an SSBN or induct the one it is building/assembling hopefully.

which type of vessel submersible or surface vessel ... ??

surface vessels also can be called as CBG

this shows non seriousness as you don't read even your own quotes, secondly lack of basic knowledge & understanding, therefore from my side this s the end of debate with you about your flawed 14 vessel argument.

We have an ELF station at Jinnah Naval base. Perhaps it will satisfy someone ego's who repeatedly asking weather Pakistan has one or not

there was no need to pass information just to satisfy the ego of that 'someone' as that someone in reality is 'no one'; all those who are following the information available in public domain related to the development are aware of it ....

@Screambowl

What is the best way to deal with these Chinese submarines

1 More Scorpenes
2 More ASW Corvettes
3 More KILO class subamrines since we can get them quickly
4 More P 8 I and KA 28 helicopters
5 S 70 B helicopters ( probably the most expensive option )

Israelis have acquired bases in the gulf region as per the treaties with egypt and few others and they operate in limited area. Actually they do not need a nuclear submarine. Pakistan has got IO region. To communicate in Extremely low frequency(ELF) you need vessels. And as far as I know, Pakistan does not have the capability to communicate in ELF range. Which is must for SSBN. Otherwise, their position is compromised.

Basically PN does have it now in Turbat area as per some reports.

those are VLF, under construction in Balochistan
