We took entire regions not just valleys in just months in zarb e azab in a much tougher terrain, that too against a much more determined and tougher enemy. We are not the syrian army mate.

I know that but both were very different scenarios. Syrian rebels were openly backed by richest arab states, turkey, europe, america, israel and half of local population. TTP was sponsored by india and usa but not that openly. No artillary or tanks or atgms or multi barrel rocket launchers or Shoulder fired SAM's were supplied to them. And most importantly local population was not standing with them. So we can't compare both situations in black and white. I'm not taking anything away from pak army bcz clearly Pakistan army is way ahead in training, moral and weaponry than the syrian army.
