when we were arming the Sri Lankans to crush the tamil tigers/LTTE, POF earnings were in excess of $200-250 million .we sold them everything from small arms, small arms ammo to mortars grenades, tank ammo, aircraft ammo.

war sells well....our customers are too peaceful nowdays

With the 'war of terror' winding down, Pakistan needs to reform its arms building capability. There is no way we can't have a billion dollar export if we build further on our industrial capacity and solid investment in R&D.

That's just POF alone has exported. Given they are making light arms and ammunition, this is not that tiny but of course it should have been higher and there is a lot of room for improvement.

Because they're supported by americans and much of their technology is driven through the western tech.
Something not majority of countries in the world arent allowed to do.

Well pof very lack luster when and how to prsent itself in order to sell more

POF has broken in to Amrka civilian market and it's lack of vision from... not POF. POF wants to expand foreign sales, but, need investment. They make one of the best small arms in the World, especially the HK copies because we go the original HK lathes and machines. What is a shame is in addition to lack of vision from certain quarters, it's very difficult for us Pakistanis to get licenses for POF MP3.
