If the Russians hadn't bit ched out of the deal years ago, we would have had a proper fighter jet by now. Our only problem right now is engines. We need another solid 8-10 years to come up with our own.

We should bring in the Chinese to help us with engines.

This is awesome.

What's even more awesome is what we're doing with remote villages. I saw pics of villages in Kurdistan that were getting solar panels for electricity. Appareantly every village with less than 10 households will not be connected to the grid. Instead, each house gets their own solar panels!! This way everybody saves money.

thanks for the compliments, but I disagree. We're a proud country but not the most successful country. We have the potential to become one of the richest countries on earth, but for that to happen we must be able to trade with the outside world. Sooner or later these sanctions will either be removed or become meaningless. for now, financial or physical trade with the rest of the world is hard for Iranian companies.

so u think russia unwilling to sell u engines or what? because I've heard that both side signed a deal for 150 engine.

Well it depend on what type of engine u need for example the mirage 2000 it use simple big fat bleeding turbojet they call it turbo fan while we have some good russiian engine powering the mig 23 or su-17 if alittle work done on these he'd comeup with a good solution for now even they can improve them tomorrow.

The chinese still working hard to make the ws-10 a working engine for there j-10-15 and so on, so u need to wait another at least 3-5 years to get that chinese dependable.
