At first sight, somewhat tacky.

Mahindra should stick to it's pedigree, the Willy's Jeep heritage.
The min. Mahindra starts shoon-shaan, it dilutes it's heritage. Self sabotage!

I saw this with their other SUV's, specially Scorpio. As it got better, it got 'shoonier & shaanier'.
The neon, plasticky bling-bling never helped it's cause. Now it's becoming a habit with Mahindra.

You gotta love this vid. No, I don't have her number, so sorry. Big difference ein Indian Vs. Pak punjab I'm guessing.

Apart from the front bumper, its not too bad.

They went a bit overboard with "Cheetah inspired" styling.

If you look closely even the Scorpio has a similarly designed bumper minus the honey comb. They have carried some cues from scorpio to Xuv 500. Possibly this could be signature design of all future Mahindra cars

If they can replace the grille/mesh under the headlight with carbon fiber material, it will look decent.

I like how they added lights near the door handle and cabin dome lights, so that you don;t have to look for them in the dark. I think they call it ambiance lighting in car jargon. Pretty thoughtful.
