"Made in China" vs "Make in India": a Glimpse from Their Auto Industries

.
Wow. First time I seen this type of crash test ! :o:

There is a saying in China, the more people criticize you, the richer you become, the better you become. Go on bash us more and more. From pollution control to technology. We have been ridiculed for decades, look how far we have come, and the other country who was always shielded due to their 'democracy' is now cracking.

Exactly. We have been bashed by the western media for decades, meanwhile, india has been flattered by the west for decades, like democracy, indian good quality, etc..etc.. Now you see how shitty their country and their products has became.. Now even the western media don't often be so shameless to put india with per capita GDP 1/5 of China into the same league with China, only their own shameless media do.

Now back on to the topic: india even don't have their NCAP. China established C-NCAP in 2006, and now the standard is on par with Euro-NCAP. Car manufacturers in China do all kinds of tests to ensure the safety after the poor crash test results received more than a decade ago. And now achieved 5 star ratings.

But they can always choose to keep believing this kind of shixt and being happy.. To be honest, I even found this video so entertaining and funny:cheesy:

Yup they don't have their own safety testing agency, that's why they need to send for global ncap in UK. This shows you how much they care about safety in their country. We shouldn't bash them, we should let them maintain this kinda of mentality.

what a perfect job of brainwash! In such a subtle way, but still deliver the message that the western media wants their western audience to receive, which is also the message the western audience wants to believe!

That's indeed the core skill that the CPC-owned media needs to learn!!

First, SUVs, and now passenger cars are making inroads in overall quality and safety.

That appears to be start of a promising development in auto sector.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) exports commenced in 2013 while less than three years hence it had crossed the 5000 mark in June 2016. Now, in barely 11 months since that date, exports have crossed the 10,000 mark.

This noteworthy 10,000th export truck is a Mercedes Benz 40 tonne heavy duty tractor built for a customer in Indonesia and was among a lot of 250 trucks that made its way from the Kamarajar Port in Chennai to markets across South East Asia.

There are so many car companies in China that its hard to keep up. Thanks for the posts guys, I have learned some new things.

IMHO there are too many brands in China. Eventually there will be consolidation when the market saturates.

On top of the 40+ local brands they each have sub-brands. For example: SAIC owns Maxus and Great Wall Motors owns Wey Motors (both not on the diagram). If all electric car companies and car startups are included, there will be dozens more. Each region/province has their own auto brand much like as if they were different competing countries which is good for the consumer.

Due to this competition quality and innovation is increasing rapidly.

Very nice charts. Yes, me too, I learn about a new company every day. Most of the brands shared by desperate Indians are not even on the list. Those brands are probably small workshops run by some car enthusiasts.

I also believe that there will be further consolidation. I think we will come down to five or six major brands with multiple sub-branches. Which is good for quality control and regulation of the market.

My current favorites are BYD, Chang'an, and Great Walls.

What is so special about this?? our own domestic company Yutong is the largest bus maker of the world. It exports its buses to over 120 countries in the world.

We also have King Long, and other top bus makers. We exported 142,000 buses and 186,000 trucks all from our aboriginal brands annually. But we just won't boast about doing some manufacture job for some foreign companies. It is not something to be boast of..

Not only do they manufacture their engines and transmissions. Their engines and transmissions are self-developed. You can google BYD, Chery, Great wall, among others about this. This is the reason our cars are so cost effective. Chinese domestic car companies start to use their self developed engines and transmissions since more than 10 years ago.
and the following has a lot of old info..
BYD news in 2011, now this system has been used in their cars for years, and evolved for several generations.

Why do you even bother? Let them live in their democratic WELL.

You're embarrassing them.

I know they are in the well. But still I was surprised by their level of ignorance. It is 2017, they still think Chinese car manufacturer can not make some car engine, let alone we also use our indigenously developed DCT, AT, CVT, etc.. transmission systems. Even indian auto companies make some engines today, although they are crappy.... Yes, you are right, it is better to let them sleep, but it is also a good thing to wake them up all of a sudden, and give them a good heart attack:cheesy:

.
Since when did Daimler become an Indian company?

Chinese can claim Airbus being a chinese company since its has a assembly plant in Tianjin China.

The same goes to up and coming Boeing plant.

Shameless :D
