Lt General Faiz Hameed plans to take early retirement after COAS appointment

Asim muneer is no good either, he should not retire and if IK wins, he should dismiss the COAS and promote faiz hameed.

Nawaz once dismissed Musharaf and chose some Butt general. The rest is history.

U mean no one can dismiss mafia chief? Not even PM? This is the issue, we nwed to bring these chowkidars under control of the civil leadership.

Dumbass chose Butt who was the ISI chief at the time with no corp under his command. Had he picked a serving corp commander, the history might have been different.
you are asking so much from a stupid like naza daku

Question is, who is going to bell the cat?

There is nobody, absolutely nobody who can do that.

if it was upto nawaz he'd fill the army, bureaucracy, police, customs and everything of any importance with some random Butt

I hate nawa"j" but damn it
in modern history he is the only PM with balls who at least tried showing them their "aukaat"

IK is powerful enough to easily pull it off, thats why they fear him
I disagree.

They fear IK as much as they feared others before him.

They are doing to Ik what they already did to others.

They are doing to parliamentarians/senators/leaders of Ik what they already did to others before.

They are doing it to journalists what they previously did to others.

There is nothing new in what they are doing.

but this time majority of the country is against it unlike previously

you did it to nawaz sharif, Bhuttos everyone hated them anyway
you did it to some ethnonationalist politician, we considered them fasad on earth anyways
you did to off the hook journalists, we ignored it as to us it wasn't important in our eyes

than this monster grew

This time you did it to IK who many genuinely liked, and was a patriot even if idiot in some ways ( I dont even like IK that much its more of a ego thing now, how can they disrespect the wishes of most of the country?)
you did it to arshad sharif who was from a military family and patriot by any means
Azam Swati , and Shehbaz gill believed in Pakistan and our destiny as a nation , swati I am not to sure but ok

its not new but dynamics have changed, targets are different

In normal countries Political govt select the COAS, but in Pakistan COAS selects the Govt.

So, is PTI celebrating this news of his possible retirement, or mourning it...🧐🤔

How ever you want to interpret this.

Btw, Considering that he is now a retired officer, perhaps PTI should ask him (hire him) to lead a review of IK’s security and that of the PTI as a whole (not just physical but other aspects as well) to make sure what happened in November is not likely to happen again. Just a thought.

Considering his recent experience/posting in Peshawar, he could also advise PTI on an Afghan policy.

If PTI is to come back with gusto, IMHO, the captain is going to have to put together a strong team of advisors and consultants.

I think this news is propaganda because Faiz Hameed is way down the seniority list. No way in the world he could have become the next COAS
Except that has been the Norm in Pakistan, not the exception.

Zia Ul Haq: superseding seven more senior lieutenant-generals.
Yahya Khan superseded two of his senior lieutenant generals.
Musharraf superseded two of his senior lieutenant generals.
Kakar superseded at least six of his senior lieutenant generals.
Even
Ayub Khan superseded three of his seniors.
