Lt. Gen. Bajwa's appointment not received well by India

. .
ISLAMABAD: The appointment of retired Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa as SAPM for Information and Broadcasting to the Prime Minister in Pakistan has sent wave of uneasiness across in India and Indian establishment which has been quoted by media in New Delhi didn’t resent in expressing its disquiet. General Asim gave tough time to his Indian counterparts in his various assignments including the days of being DG ISPR and the Indian establishment does remember his capabilities and capacity to guard the national interests fully well. A leading Indian group’s newspaper has reported that “Sources in the Indian establishment said contrary to the official line, the Pakistan Army’s hand is visible clearly in these changes. The appointment of Gen Bajwa, the former ISPR chief who also served as the chairman of the important China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority, shows the Pakistan Army’s focus on information projection, said the Indian sources.” Under a sub-title of the “ISPR connection,” the newspaper further writes that Bajwa had served as the Southern Command chief in the Pakistan Army before his retirement last year. He was the ISPR director general between 2012 and 2016. His successor was Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, who was also replaced in January this year. The ISPR is a tri-service organisation, which serves as the propaganda department of the Pakistani Army, and is the key department responsible for information warfare, the report suggested.

In brief, Indian response justified his appointment :enjoy:.

Who cares? They might've celebrated if we appointed our Eunuch General Billo Rani incharge of the army.

So the last time the army put PMLN in charge, they were actually delivered to us plebes by the Angel Gabriel?
samjha kar yar...he agrees with you deep inside but uppar uppar say bongiyaan nahi maray ga to maryam safdar kay haatoan kay banay huay qeemay walay naan nahi milein gay na...SAMJHA KAR!

PTI is virtually a martial law without martial law and without charisma and good deeds of musharraf, so practically a puppet martial law with incompetent/useless civilian ruler.

Who got us into this state at the first place. Please do some research before commenting.

If India doesn’t like it, the decision is REALLY good.
India is obsessed with Pakistan, ISI and recently Muslims. They know they have elected an Chai wala and he knows nothing but the brutality of the streat hence all his decision making is limited to the live he has seen and has been treated.

if we he was elected as PM for that reason rather than selected.
Please tell me what is the difference between selection and election, selected and elected.

India elected a Chai Wala who has no university qualification and Pakistan selected an Oxford Graduate. Both came to becoming Prime Minister though the same democratic process.

About time civlian rule barley works in Pakistan

Juneejo shaukat aziz and pervaiz ilahi were not spoon fed by the military but had their own way of governance and vision.

if we he was elected as PM for that reason rather than selected.

Hey guess what many of us Pakistanis guarded the poling booths to boot out Indian fraaands out of politics or anyone showing a lil sympathy towards radical Hindu cause . Screwing India was and is our primary goal, the governance issue is secondary. Although ik put our economy back on track and reduced the budget deficit to its lowest in just one and a half year in the process. It's a win win for us by whatever way you look at it.

Finally, a Professional for the job! Great appointment!

Is he going to keep the CPEC Chairmanship?

One hopes so.... with his experience as Head of SouthernCommand it is vital that he does.

Take away, TeaLeaveMeditations says that the recent attacks on CPEC are going to countered with due vigour!

To reply to India on Military matters we have ISPR.... so as SAPM Bajwa is going to be more on internal matters and some strategic issues.

The Great Mrs. Awan was/is a PoliticalGiant
... she might now join NLeague or MullahMaffia...who knows....

This appointment caused extreme dismay and anxiety among the ranks of Lifafa media outlets.

Yes sir, they've had their haydays. State department and all that media managing by the west has made them arrogant. About time we give them the much needed shock therapy they deserve

Because it would be harder to criticize former fauji tarjman. They make fun of firdus ashia awan and Shahbaz Gill

Many ex military members of political parties have been bombarded with extreme criticism for their party policies. Bajwa is no exception.

Danda peer ae!

If MarasiMedia and India are unhappy in unison then I am delighted with this appointment!

Wish Gen Hamid Gul was alive today!

All this hoo haa is due to pti employing an ex military figure to support their cause. pmln or ppp do also have retired professionals as their members but media was more reluctant in expressing their concerns as those parties didn't place a lid on their funding

So when the enemy starts complaining, that only means one thing, we are doing something right. The only other people complaining will be patwaris. Both can go to hell.

The youth is more eager to listen to the squeals of rss nazis more so than our military itself.

if only he was elected as PM for that reason rather than selected.

Pakistani youth has many priorities of their own but when it comes to India we all have a consensus on always delivering them with a sucker punch . Don't let that tiny burger class make a fool outta yourself. Ik was our best bet on showing radical Hindutva regime its true worth, our military just echoes the national sentiment.
