ISLAMABAD: The appointment of retired Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa as SAPM for Information and Broadcasting to the Prime Minister in Pakistan has sent wave of uneasiness across in India and Indian establishment which has been quoted by media in New Delhi didn’t resent in expressing its disquiet. General Asim gave tough time to his Indian counterparts in his various assignments including the days of being DG ISPR and the Indian establishment does remember his capabilities and capacity to guard the national interests fully well. A leading Indian group’s newspaper has reported that “Sources in the Indian establishment said contrary to the official line, the Pakistan Army’s hand is visible clearly in these changes. The appointment of Gen Bajwa, the former ISPR chief who also served as the chairman of the important China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority, shows the Pakistan Army’s focus on information projection, said the Indian sources.” Under a sub-title of the “ISPR connection,” the newspaper further writes that Bajwa had served as the Southern Command chief in the Pakistan Army before his retirement last year. He was the ISPR director general between 2012 and 2016. His successor was Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, who was also replaced in January this year. The ISPR is a tri-service organisation, which serves as the propaganda department of the Pakistani Army, and is the key department responsible for information warfare, the report suggested.

PTI is virtually a martial law without martial law and without charisma and good deeds of musharraf, so practically a puppet martial law with incompetent/useless civilian ruler.

Guys, does Pakistan have an official cyber warfare division? I can't seem to find much info on Google other than some news where India accuses Pakistan of deploying bots for propaganda purposes, etc.

Our cyber defense division is the internet plug. Pull out the cable when an attack is feared or detected.

Strange PMLN and PPP both got together to approve this Martial Law?

There has always been an unneeded bickering between so called feduals posing as democrats and the Armed forces. Its just this time PTI, a new player, is playing along well with the Army regarding core national interests. As usual Indians, who are liking your comment, do not like this unity in Pakistans power corridors and blunts their narrative of projecting Pakistan as a non-democratic and pariah state.

Reality is that there is an independent and very overreaching judiciary plus a very unregulated uncontrolled media in Pakistan as well - anyone who thinks there is a martial law or any thing close to that is just mentally devoid of reasoning or an Indian who grows up with a certain mantra about Pakistan. Gen. Bajwa is retired and just like in rest of democracies is free to work in any civilian sector or even run for office.

indians should be worried...General Asim Bajwa single handedly exposed & dismantled india's fake sir ji kaal strike in a matter ot minutes & humiliated india on kalbhusan yadav! He's a very talented man, knows where india's g spot is & knows how to make her squirm! ;)

We like to keep it this way. Being invisible is something must be hard earned. If it is found in Google, that is highly unlikely to be PAKISTANI. Our adversaries are simultaneously playing A and B team themselves while calling the B to be PAKISTANI.

Well...as you can do better...put up or shut up. The man is a world cup winner. Build the massive cancer hospital before he became PM...and in contrast what have you done? Oh posted on PDF
if only he was elected as PM for that reason rather than selected.
