Here's an idea, how about declaring FATA a province and getting rid of this tribal system all together?

Pashtuns are not the issue here. They have some of the most successful people in Pakistan. They dominate sports, military and politics and an example of what can be achieved when you apply yourself.

FATAites started this entire mess by allowing TTP to set up bases and become involved in their criminal economy. There must be consequences for this. By signing a document they have got off lightly.

Where is justice for all the Pakistanis murdered?

All I hear is IDPs moaning and whining the state does not do enough. What have you done for your country? Still sitting around high off opium with torture chambers and gun depots in your homes. Selfish pieces of crap.

Tribal system does not work, it creates divisions. Time to abolish it.

Indeed, then I believe the report is false as per you. Not entire of course, but most. The ones not involved are guilty for keeping silent and indirectly supporting the terrorism emanating from the North Waziristan against the rest of the country and participating in the terror economy. For long, we suspected the local involvement but seeing its extent is astonishing and unbelievable. Extremist interpretation of religion after is the opiate of the masses and poison of choice for these people. Under which they will torture, maim, kill and spread terror against their fellow men and justify it all under religion of peace. Not bad, eh? After all, every 8 out of 10 TTP terrorist has names starting with Mullah, Moulvi, Hafiz, Mufti, Qari. It leaves no doubt.

Some years ago an article was fluttering around on the net. It was a study that majority of FATIAN's want merger with either Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or a separate province. I believe these demands are perfectly legitimate as are the demands to do away with the Collective responsibilities act of the FCR. In my book Badal I mention the problem with the FCR.

On the other hand I also want the FATIAN's to think critically of their own role in the nation. I am not blaming anyone. It is a fact. All ethnicities need to look at how and what they can help Pakistan with. Self criticism is a necessary sphere of politics and until we look at our communities negative role with a pinch of negativity we will never realize our problems and mistakes. Don't attack me for this. I have constantly stated that urdu speakers being in the best of positions must be first to look at their role in Pakistan critically.

One thing however I have noticed is that the military does not want to provide help to those with sympathetic mindset towards the Taliban or gravitating against the army. We should win these people over but still the problem is not just with the army. 90% of it is with our own people. Look at how MQM thugs justify their parties violent policies. I mean we are responsible for making Pakistan what it is today.

And Wali too. I have als noticed Ar Rahman's (Wali Ur Rehman) and ullah's (Baitullah, Dadullah, Waliullah, Hakimullah)... it seems to be a top name choice among terrorists.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the people of FATA are not innocent at all. Almost every family was involved in the terrorism business somehow.

Then Army is also not innocent, they started this business and involved people of FATA in their ambitions, encouraging them to take part in Afghan Jihad of 80s and Taliban wars of 90s. Nek Muhammad, Baitullah and Hafiz Gul Bahadur had fought for Taliban in Afghanistan against Northern Alliance , and weapons and ammunition to them were supplied by ISI.

The tribals have been fighting TTP on their own by forming Lashkars. And they were the only thin line of defence which was allowed to go to waste by the inactive establishment. Why not to question the loyalty of the establishment who created TTP in the first place?

I think documents are simple. You will not allow terrorists to roam free, become active members of their terror network and kidnappings. Otherwise next time we will bomb you without any compensation. This is what it means right?

I though something was being done to give FATA provincial status? Maybe tribals (at least their leaders) don't want that? Have any elected member from FATA demanded provincial status? I don't think so.
