LAHORE: A loud blast is reported to have been heard near Allama Iqbal International airport, Geo News reported Thursday.

Chaotic activity was witnessed at the airport immediately after the blast, creating panic in the surrounding area sources said.

Major reason is, all military installation are in Lahore. Mainly soldiers and officers, who are serving in FATA are from Punjab. That's why strikes are coming to Punjab. Almost 60% Punjab,37% NWFP and reaming from Baluchistan and Sind.

why are the military installations in such a major city...? are not they supposed to be far from cities....they risk innocent civilians with them and even become easier target for TALIBAN themselves...

Well, all these installation used to be out of city, cities expand and now they in the middle. An example of GHQ in Rawalpindi city,same situation in Lahore.

As soon as Pakistan starts to focus on the real culprit. Its time for Pakisan to get out of the Indiaphobia and tackle the real issue. And btw, its a good sign that people raising concern over this.

Its not a thread for it but any how the reason is that 90% Army is made of soldiers (less officers) who makes hardly 10 thousand rupee per month and live a hard life. majority of Sindi and Baluchi don't leave their villages all their life , As people of Karachi are concern well why a educated person (youth) will work for 10 thousand rupee and for such a hard life when he can find factory work in his city, so many opt for commission in army (officer) but non for javan.
There are many Sindhi and Baluch who have given their life in FATA operation, I hope many more will join Pak Army.
