`Lord Ram was born in Pakistan, not Ayodhya`

Two questions that pop out of this thread from a non-religious social angle:

A) do Hindus owe an apology now to the Muslims for demolishing the wrong masjid.

B) will Pakistanis try to do the same to the mandir that the Hindus will now build in Pakistan.

A wrong needed to be righted.

If it was never righted, then it was another wrong.

Would an apology be in order then ?

It would be the big thing to do.

P.S. I suggest we keep this purely academic and historic, and not pander to baser artificial man-made constructs.

You want to repeat what happened during times of invading foreign armies?

I dont think safronis have it in them to apologize to a certain demographic

Yes. Historic wrongs are eventually always righted.

Reparations owed and claimed.

By wrong Masjid I think you mean Hindus were wrong to demolish that Masjid, the apology part well is totally dependent upon Hindus and what their faith or beliefs teach them

B) will Pakistanis try to do the same to the mandir that the Hindus will now build in Pakistan.

First of all Indian Hindus need to build a Mandir in Pakistan.

Anyhow talking about it in general as me being Muslim how I should look at Mandir, well I should respect it as their place of worship as long as it is treated as place of worship by Hindus themselves and is a place that contributes positively to their community and public as a whole. In a scenario if they leave that area and this Mandir gets vacant and abandoned forever and nobody is taking care of that place now, then the best thing to maintain its respect would be to convert it to a Mosque without demolishing it and with little structural changes (may be) and interior.

First of all there was no Pakistan before 1947. So how can Rama born in Pakistan thousands years ago. But there was ' Akhand Bharta'. So you can say that Rama was born in ' western Akhand Bhart'. But Rama was born in Ayodhya , there are enough proof of this.

New Delhi: In what could ignite a controversy, a book has claimed that Lord Ram was not born in Ayodhya, but in Pakistan.

The book by All India Muslim Personal Law Board's member Abdul Rahim Qureshi also raises doubts over belief that Lord Ram was born in Treta Yuga.

In his book “Facts of Ayodhya Episode (Myth of Ram Janmabhoomi)”, the assistant general secretary and spokesperson of the board further alleged that the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute is a relic of the British-era.

Notably, the AIMPLB is a party to the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute pending in the Supreme Court.

Quraishi argues that it was nowhere mentioned in the Vedas or the Puranas that the Gangetic plain is the birthplace of Ram. He further claims that the region of Sapta Sindhu, whose emperor was Lord Ram's father King Dashrath, was actually the land extending from Haryana and Punjab, through Pakistan and up to the eastern fringes of Afghanistan.

The AIMPLB member further quoted former Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official Jassu Ram to argue that Ram was actually born in Dera Ismail Khan district of Pakistan, in a town called Rahman Dheri, which was earlier called Ram Dheri.

Quraishi adds: “This false story of demolition of Ram Temple for the construction of the Masjid was spread by the British to create discord between Hindus and Muslims. However, that goes against the very character of Babar. I have with me a copy of his last testament where he advised his son Humayun to abolish religious prejudices and refrain from cow slaughter, among other things. The AIMPLB will hold meetings across the country with Hindu leaders to spread awareness about this matter.”

Was Ram was born in Treta Yug? Quraishi thinks `no`.

“According to the Hindu Yuga system of calculation of time, Sri Rama appeared at the end of the 24th or 28th Treta Yug and we are in the 28th cycle of Kali Yuga. This gives the period of Sri Ram approximately 18 million years ago. Nowhere in the world anything, any remains or any relic of a million years past has been found. On the basis of position of stars and constellations given in Ramayana etc experts have calculated the year of his birth as 5561 BC or 7323 BC. But in Ayodhya and other places of UP – whose names appear in Ramayana in connection with some event of Sri Rama story – no human habitation is found beyond 600 BC in the past,” Quraishi writes in his book.

The writer also says that if the present Ayodhya was the birthplace of Ram, it would have been mentioned in Ramayana of Tulsidas, who penned the epic in 1574 CE in Ayodhya.

I listen to a discussion of a pennel involving Hindu priests and Muslim representative. Muslims accepted that loard Ram was born in Ayodya. However they said that they think that it was not the same disputed place.

None, religion is not scientific but, more philosophical and more towards humanities rather than science.

How do you scientifically prove a religion?

He has proved so many unprovable thigs on forum So do not ask him this sort of questions. He can prove anything.

Based on the events and geological places It was believed that Ram was born in Ayodhya, But he there are connections between places in Ramayana infact upto middle east and C.Asia.

The path he traveled is very well written in detail including the astronomical events.

Silly Morons like Abdul Rahim Qureshi are adding fuel to the fire. RSS affiliated people too come up with theories like Mecca was the original temple of Lord Shiva and was called Makkeshwar Mahadev.

Muslims also say that Jesus never died on cross and was buried somewhere in Kashmir.

People of all religions need to see through them. One should never attack the beliefs of any religion. There seems to be some sort of competition going on between the hardliners of all religions!
