These projects are a blessing for the poor people of Pakistan.
Affordable and comfortable mass transit is a massive quality of life improvement for the poor
Lets see you travel on a bike or rickshaw in the heat of summer to your job.

These projects are self-financing, entirely or partially, due to the income generated. There are also secondary benefits like less traffic congestion and lower pollution.

If the trains were made in Pakistan, the economic benefit would be even greater.

And it will save billion on importation of gas. Do some basic research before spewing venom. Saying that I would agree that this project has alot of corruption and improper panning, having been done. Which is a shame and it will have to be demolished in due time.

Unfortunately karachi has to follow the footsteps of bengalis to get success. Bangladesh is a clear example. I know people will be angry here but that's the only way possible it seems.

so are roads and railways, our economy can not afford the on going cost on road maintenance, more road means more maintenance cost....we should convert all roads to mud roads and re-introduce Gadha gari.

I more then anyone want to see Karachi like Tokyo and it's possible with the right governance and strict laws on the people. So like 6 months of community service for littering. This is Islamic too.
