Lighting of the torch was probably the only good bit in the ceremony. Pretty average otherwise. Beijing is still the one to top.

and they spent 25 million pounds for this cermony..dont know where :no:

Overall it was good in parts but nowhere near Beijing.

Sue Barker is trying hard :P

Felt more like the closing ceremony, no flair whatsoever. Perhaps you run out of ideas when you host the Olympic Games for the third time...

They made it so very British that most people unless they had spent their lives in UK didn't understand the things happening in the ceremony..
Hell they even showed the evolution of NHS..Something David the Cameron is about to sell to private companies,and yet they had the cheek of taking pride in this rare totally free health and medical service of UK...
The ceremony had serious issues with continuity and being too complicated to understand...

Opening Ceremony had some few good moments but otherwise pretty dull compared to what Beijing did.

I think they should have gone more bolder.

But I think its unfair to compare Beijing to London. Beijing spend 100 billion on the Games.
