Local Turkish Dialects

About "Yanaq", do you know anything about its etymology or origin?
well all i can say is that we use yanak as english like
here example

dash yanak qati

hard like a stone

we use tek in very different way

here is the example

dalinn teke
the crazy it self
(he act that much crazy , that he dont have differences with a crazy man )

.
I think we use it in the same way, you are right that "tek/tekin" has a stronger tone, but it basically means "alike". It's from old Turkic "teg".

Yeah we use gibi, sometimes "gibin" in local dialects.

about "dalinn teke" , I think we have this "tek", for example like "O delinin teki"(he is a crazy person), tek here gives a stronger meaning.

For stupid, salak, aptal, mal, gerizekalı etc. :D there is also "Sersem", but its sounds a little elite :D not something that you would oftenly hear in streets.

. . . .
same as we do

we use it as insult :D

Why so much contradiction :D "Koch gibi" or "Arslan gibi" , Arslan gibi is more oftenly used. There is also "Yumurta gibi çocuk"(Egg like boy) which girls use to good, clear looking guys :D

@Targon

We also associate it with bravery. We even have a word derived from qoç, "qoçaq" which means brave.

That's not it, if @asena_great meant that then I misunderstood. :D

It's equivalent of gibi/kimi.

. . .
how it is pronounced

Koç ? you should know it :D

@ASQ-1918

Yeah its also related to bravery here.

@asena_great

We have yaman, rather then bravery or looks, its more about cunning. There is also "Kara Yağız" itz about looks, but not much used these days

You got it wrong, I don't mean Keçi(goat) , I mean Koç(ram), male of the sheep, one with big spiral horns :D

mattress=döşek blankets= thin blankets called battaniye, thick blankets called yorgan.
