Zhou Enlai already offered to swap recognition of AP in exchange for recognition of Aksai Chin, essentially turning the LoC into an International Border.

But Nehru rejected this offer. He went for the Forward Policy instead.

Several reasons were provided by Pakistan to india in the last decade, even in this year in January & in August...if you don't wanna take it as reason then no problem.

India has already given away Pak and B/D..

In any talks with India, no country would get any more UNILATERAL lands. So talks with India can go on for another 100 years but still no political solution would ever give more lands to Pakistan or China.

'giving up on Kashmir' - Of course not. You need the 'need for Kashmir' more than anything else. India hatred is one thing that is common for all Pakistanis(with notable exceptions) So you can't afford to give up the rhetoric. We can very well live with the status quo. No lives will be lost. No thumping of chests.

Our polititions don't run their campaigns with anti-indian slogans, a thing that is common in india even recently Modi the terrorist was luring innocent indians with un fulfilling dreams against Pakistan.

Pakistan historically was a separate land, it was made part of india.

Talks benefit both India and Pakistan. If there is a mutually acceptable solution then good for both India and Pakistan. But a mutually acceptable solution will never include the option of giving Kashmir to Pak.

If talks drag for another 100 years, India does not mind. Reason is India is gaining strength everyday. In another 50 years would be top 2 economies of world. So waiting though not the best option but it also does not hurt.

To be true short of a war and complete defeat for India. Kashmir will never be given to Pakistan by any political settlement. That's a reality. Thinking that talks can give Kashmir to Pak is 100% wrong belief.

And India cannot take Pak Kashmir without a nuclear war almost.

But surely war is not good for Pak and India both. Also there is no guarantee that India would loose a war. I say convert LOC to IB. Anyhow for past 65 years LOC has been the de-facto border. An attempt made to change LOC in Kargil only invited a war from India. So changing LOC is not acceptable. And if you keep sticking to LOC then calling it LOC or IB doesn't change anything.

So when Pak or India cannot change the LOC then why not call it IB? at least there will be peace b/w India and Pakistan. Else why not change it?
