I said there is not enough money left in the end to equip a soldier because other things have also to be bought.I am not happy with this but this happens due to the low budget and after 26/11 Force 1 was rasied,new bases were given to NSG,new intel agencies were made.They are working towards it.

In the late 80s and 90s we were economically not so sound like we are today and hence the Armed forces couldnt replace the old systems it had.Now when we have got the money we are doing it and its taking time to first replace those old equipments and then think about the soldier.

Since you have no idea of defence related matters let me tell you that any Army first spends on the requirements of Cavalry,Artillery,AAD etc and the Infantry is the last coz these systems are game changes in war and have much more impact than a foot soldier and last time i checked our Army was more than a million strong so it takes time.

26/11 could have been prevented from causing so many losses had the state govt read the situation properly.NSG was called too late and its base was too far from Mumbai.To prevent that we have opened bases in all big cities plus there are specialised Police units comming up like Force1 for mumbai and SWAT for Delhi.

Tell me one thing..so many times when they manage to prevent an incident and you get to hear on TV about the Police arresting people related to various Terror outfits..Do you thank them?

Please do a thorough research on military related news because you are not understanding how things work and blamming the government for it.
