Greek Minister

Libya’s UN-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) on Sunday slammed Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias' surprise visit to Benghazi.

The visit violates the decisions of international institutions which consider the GNA the country’s only legitimate government, said Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Taher Siala in a statement released on the ministry’s social media account.

During his visit Sunday, Dendias met with East Libya-based commander Khalifa Haftar as well as so-called administration officials Abdullah es-Sinni and Abdulhadi al-Havic.

Dendias criticized the deal between Turkey and the GNA during the visit, according to regional media reports.

On Nov. 27, Ankara and Tripoli signed two separate memorandums of understanding (MoUs): one on military cooperation and the other on maritime boundaries of countries in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The maritime pact asserted Turkey's rights in the Eastern Mediterranean in the face of unilateral drilling by the Greek Cypriot administration, clarifying that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) also has rights to the resources in the area. It went into effect on Dec. 8.

On April 4, Haftar, who commands forces based in eastern Libya, launched an offensive to capture the capital Tripoli from GNA forces.

According to UN data, over a thousand people have been killed since the start of the operation and more than 5,000 injured.

Since the ouster and death of ruler Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, two seats of power have emerged in Libya: one in eastern Libya supported mainly by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, and another in Tripoli, which enjoys UN and international recognition.

Turkey should learn from syria and yemen. That is, you have to be decisive from the start. Saudi intervened in yemen too late and now seems to be stuck. So if Turkey wants libya not to fall in haftar's hands, they should decisively take care of it.
Just to add its not wat i wish. i wish no muslim should ever fight each other.

Lol Turkish conspiracy theorist, this is a civil war. The US is not in a civil war, CIA doesn't control any territory.

He was actually... you should read about it... even him was proud of it back in the days... That's also why Moubarak in Egypt and Gaddafi hated that face of his... He was known as a traitor...
I know he was, that was when Gaddafi was in power. He had to do what he had to do, and he got residency in the US in exchange for it.

It's a deadlock situation. Saudi, Uae and Egypt would never agree to a power sharing agreement with MB whom they consider a terrorist organisation. I think minus Haftar, MB and allies we can see a unitary government in Libya with a independent political free army, otherwise more innocents will be killed

@vostok Since you are here, I thank the Russian(not the gov) for help in Libya. Contacted a Finnish merc on the ground and he told me some 120 Russians were maintaining everything, and coordinating his spec ops team.

So you see no problem to put your bet on a CIA agent/Traitor?
No, I don't he was captured by Chad, and was already considered a failure before being saved by the US. I would rather be a traitor in good conditions, than a countrymen in shit conditions.

. .
Why would Greek not meet with Haftar? Turkey, and GNA agreement literally fucked over EEZ of Greece and they expect it to not be angry.
