Lebanese town bans Muslims from buying and renting property

Stupid article and stupid responses. Lebanese Christians and Muslims get along really well. Christian population is highest compared to other religious texts in Lebanon.

Garbage AP news always tries to make it off like Christians and Muslims despise each other in the Arab world is not true at all. Arab Christians and Muslims and very similar and are close to each other not just in Arab world but in the West too.

The HQ of AP is in New York. That's all you need to know.

Indeed. There are no such problems between Muslim and Christian ethnic Arabs in Jordan, Palestine nor Syria.

In Jordan there are Christian Arab tribes and clans who were Christians before Prophet Muhammad's (saws) birth and remained so afterwards to this day. Similarly in Palestine and Syria.

For instance some of the biggest Palestinian/Arab nationalists, freedom fighters, intellectuals etc. were Christian Arabs.

Lebanese Maronites are a completely different people in comparison and Lebanon (modern form) was created by the French to ensure a Christian enclave. Syria should annex Lebanon btw. No point for that country to exist. Goes for quite a few Arab countries.

Israeli and Jewish controlled media is always looking to create disharmony. I have noticed (in recent years) numerous articles of titled "when Arabia was Jewish" and constantly talking about Jewish heritage in Arabia and the Arab world as if it had any relevance today or if it had anything to do with any Ashkenazi Jews. If anything only the Arab Jews but I don't see them claiming anything.

Only some retarded Assyrians and Maronites (minority and mostly only the diaspora who don't really know their history, culture, countries of origin) are unconditional bootlickers of the West.

(Same people as Hijaz next door, no need to hate them, lol, they are part of us)

Some amazing "chants" or whatever it is.

Arab Christians used to be some of the biggest pan-Arabists, this was before American influence on Assyrians, Maronites, Syriac Christians, Copts. Now they're lost, reject Arab identity especially in the west. Copts believe the narrative that they are the ingenious and that the Muslim Egyptian is an Arab invader from Yemen.

I don't consider Assyrians, Maronites nor Copts (did not mention them) to be Christian Arabs. Fellow Semitic people (more or less the same people as us on every front other than religion) but not Arabs. I was talking about the many ethnic Christian Arabs mainly found in Jordan, Palestine and Syria. There are Christian Arab Iraqis too but a minority compared to Assyrians, not that there are many of those left (Assyrians) in Iraq.

Copts do not create any problems either. Good people. Prophet Muhammad (saws) married one and there is a sizable community of them in KSA and GCC. Never created any problems. Nor within Egypt. Their community has cordial ties with us and their "Pope" even visited not long ago.

The sole problem, as I wrote, are some retarded Assyrians and Lebanese Maronites (minority and mostly only the diaspora who don't really know their history, culture, countries of origin) who are unconditional bootlickers of the West.

They are the last of our problems. There are 2-3 foreign regional cancers (regimes) to focus on instead. All 3 obsessed with Arab affairs and doing nothing but harm and only able to do that due to localized unrest. That is the real trash.

Are Christians in Lebanon stupid? Muslims have already overtaken them in population strength decades back.

Why provoke the majority when you are a minority?

not really lebanese christians are well nested in lebanese society..

its more like christians lost their fear against muslims the last two decades they gained more courage and now they show their true face...

some time ago (we have many lebanese here in germany) I asked some lebanese arabs how does it came that many christians in lebanon are in high positions..I stated out that this is a case of real concern.. that stupid guys just protected their positions..

many times I was proved right good to see that I was again the right one..

Why do Lebanese Christians hate turkey?

.
They are worried about being out-reproduced. It looks like they are already a minority, and will shrink to extinction soon.

.
yes.

Why do Lebanese Christians hate turkey?

many issues:
- Ottomans take konstantinopel renamed the city and went till vienna..
-Ottomans constant struggle against Germany, Polonia, Russia, French, British and so on
(500 years more and it would have carved markers in their genes)
- special propaganda of west the last decade
- lebanese christians are also good conected with israel (on conflicts israel even avoids them )
- arab propaganda (nationalism) since their creation
- also which connection to turkey does a lebanese christian have? they are christians so they will have marry christimas feelings to other christians.. they are arabs so maybe some of them could o astray and take to some degree arab nationalism .. but from what I see araound the world most ppl who are secular or christians are mostly friends and tend to come together and have a common ground.. its an alliane of Secularists, Christians and Jews

Who were the phalangists? A branch of maronites?

. .
beg your pardon; arabs moslems are the most unreligious people I know.

Most people today are not practicing, I meant in cultural perspective. Arabs of all religious backgrounds or even different tribes tend to marry from their own and that is not a cause of concern. It is normal in the Middle East considering the rich history there and ethnic makeup. Even Jews marry from Jews only. There is thousands of years of history around these tribes/ethnicities that remain important to this day.

Yes. BTW I have to correct myself. Plenty of Lebanese Marotines are of ethnic Arab origins as well. In fact their ruling dynasties were mostly ethnic Arab (Hijazi):

Legendary beard btw.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bashir_Shihab_II

One of the founding fathers of Lebanon and the most successful Lebanese leader in more recent times along with Fakhr-al-Din II of the Maan dynasty (also Hijazi origins).

Bashir was born in 1767 in Ghazir,[4][5] a village in the Keserwan region of Mount Lebanon. He was the son of Qasim ibn Umar ibn Haydar ibn Husayn Shihab of the Shihab dynasty,[6] which had inherited the super tax farm of Mount Lebanon, also known as the Mount Lebanon Emirate, from their Druze kinsmen, the Ma'an dynasty in 1697.

The Shihab dynasty (alternatively spelled Chehab; Arabic: شهابيون‎, ALA-LC: Shihābiyūn) were a prominent noble family during the Ottoman era in Mount Lebanon. The Shihabs were the traditional princes of the Wadi al-Taym, who traced their lineage to the Banu Makhzum of the ancient Quraysh tribe. The family inherited control over the Mount Lebanon Emirate from the Ma'an dynasty, their kinsmen through marriage, in 1697. This transfer of leadership was decided by the Qaysi faction of the emirate's Druze feudal chiefs and confirmed by the Ottoman authorities, who conferred to the family authority over the tax farms of Mount Lebanon.

The Maan dynasty (Hijazi as well) was the other strongest dynasty in Lebanon historically.

They later adopted "Druze" identity.

So it is a bit complicated to put it mildly. As you see, I mentioned the Druze, which are another fraction in Lebanon (Southern Syria as well).

Also Lebanon has been the most unstable Arab country in the modern era (internally among htemselves) due to that diversity and clan rivalries which are common for mountainous communities in our region. Small land area but very diverse. So fighting for resources and power was always a big deal.

Lebanon was home to the region's longest civil war until it "ended" with the Ta'if agreement signed in KSA back in 1990. However the country is effectually divided into 3 parts (Sunni, Christian/Druze and Shia). The latter part is ruled by Hezbollah moreover. Not a real country by any stretch of the imagination. Only on paper.

lol lebanease are racists ?

Sectarianism. Similar to how the useless Iranian Mullah regime allied "president" wants to throw Syrians out of Lebanon despite the fact that Syrians should be ruling that tiny entity.

Similar to how the Druze/Marotines/Shias wanted to throw the Palestinians out hence one of the reasons for the Lebanese civil war in the first place. Sunni Lebanese and Palestinians were never at odds during that 15+ year old civil war.

More precisely the Sunni Arab majority (85%+) of Sham. Will happen one day again. Just a question of time. That entity cannot survive without being a failure as seen.

For instance the Sunni Lebanese community is almost completely dependent economically on KSA. Every Lebanese (almost) in KSA is from that community. You can guess/figure out who they want to align with in the region. Hint, it is not the Al-Assad regime, Hezbollah or the Iranian Mullah regime. Nor the Druze/Maronites.

By far the best community in Lebanon.

Should be supported 100% always.

He is writing utter nonsense. Arabs are religious and conservative people (vast majority). Saying otherwise is not knowing what the hell one is talking about. Not every Arab is some Lebanese "queer" (lol) in the West.

I mean he is a reasonable guy overall. Depends where he lives , honestly. I would say we are conservative still to these days. Doesn't mean everyone is full blown practicing though.
