Gandhi foremost believed in freedom from oppression, and to that effect he ripped apart the British empire. Jinnah believed in freedom from oppression for the muslims in the sub-continent, and to that effect he played a part in ripping apart "India".
Atleast the whole of Brtish India believed in Gandhi, but only a part of muslims from British India believed in Jinnah. Big difference, Jinnah could not convince ALL of the muslims for the cause he believed in.
Is freedom from oppression more important than unity? Gandhi's actions speak louder than his words.
It depends on who defines oppression and what the defn is.

Bloody hell this is not statisitcs class that we are trying to match figures.

Israel kidnapped palestineans and they fired rockets into Israel and then israel bombed them back using thier artilery and f16s and apaches.

But why did Hizbullah initiate a hostility on the northern border, knowing israel well this is response isnt a surprise.

Bombing infrastructure, and imposing collective punishment is a war crime for which the leader of the former Yuguslavia faced the International court.

Israel has killed over 500 civilians, wounded thousands and displaced half a million.

Majority supported Jinnah.

So your saying Ghandi alone had the capacity to define oppression? Ghandi was a great man, but in the end he was a hindu and could not (or was not able to) placate the concerns of muslims.

Pakistan is a Country for Muslims and Christians who were oppressed under polytheists and continue to be, under a hindu anti- muslim government. where muslim are under represented in all scopes of public sphere. Just recently 4 Kashmiri youths martyred by polytheist armed occupiers.

Did you look into the questions I asked you? ie did you look up facts?

Finished your ranting? The so called country has an constitutional rule that says non muslim cannot hold the country's top position. So much for the equality.

Did you look into the questions I asked you? ie did you look up facts?
I just checked and the current cause for escalation is coz Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers. Do you have anything to prove otherwise?

Regardless of that, the previous argument stands. A war crime is a war crime, the action preceding it does not change the action.
