@Topic : i would recommend place an egg shell in ur room and the lizard will not enter that room .I have tried it myself. One more thing the egg should be desi.

that's interesting.....never heard this trick. I wonder why that would work?

.
what if she/he fell on your head from the door you are surveying from into the room :P

Umm... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I'll probably have a heart attack then and there only.

As a kid, my worst nightmares involved them, and do so even now.

yep, youre being a sissy
not once in my entire life have i had them fall on top of me. there was a time one of them fell from the exhaust fan in the kitchen and made its way into my maggi soup
they are poisonous, one sip from that soup and i would have been either dead or extremely sick.....but that was an extreme case
sooner or later, you will realize they are your friend....they eat the insects and other pests so your home remains bug-free. You are 1000 times bigger than he is, he will be afraid of you. So just ignore him and he'll also mind his own business :)

if worse comes to worst, you can hire this guy and he would handle the problem for you

Baiting and trolling is not allowed, neither is posting of graphic material.

He's not being a sissy. Liz-phobia is a real issue.

They don't mind their own issues, they creep and crawl and then find their way into places where you can't kill them.

Btw, the geckos are no poisonous.

I remember in Lahore about 12 years ago there was a case of just one landing in a deg of biryani. 11 people died, 4 were sick as dogs and had to be rushed to hospital.

and again, there is no reason to have to kill them. You get near them, they run like hell and hide. Actually, for some reason Pakistani cochroaches are quite aggressive. Some have ability for flying short distances, and they will actually run up to your feet.

nothing a pair of steel-tipped Doc-Martin boots can't handle :)

Elmo -- with reference to your last post, i fail to fathom why you are mentioning ''baiting and trolling'' when all in all it was just an attempt to be funny. I look forward to your clarification.

One thing I am glad about in Canada is that there are no lizards. I used to absolutely hate them, was actually scared of them at one point when I was young. Now I would just take a chappal and hit the chipkali with the chappal like a madman.

I loved the lizards in my house until they grew into multitudes. They stare you in the eyes, are soft to touch and eat your roaches and smaller patangay. However they croak at night and wake you up, and once your house becomes over-infested they grow confident and eat from your plate when you ain't looking. First-hand accounts!

I don't like boots, and certainly not steel-tipped.

Lizards are chipku... and don't run away anywhere.

Recently we went for some flood relief work, and were accomodated on the local mil bases.

My god... the buildings were old, with high ceilings, and gosh the lizards were humungous. I could not use the washroom in my room... because there were 5 big fat pregnant lizards, who'd hide and come out of nowhere!!!!

I had to go all the way to another worker's room to use it.
