After the 1st glance i thought this is the picture of Laxmi Rani marma, the genuine mother of BKZ.

By the way, did she herself or her party denied the allegation that her mother is a Marma? I personally do not think it has any relevance to her politics.

On the other hand, Pranab Mukherjee adopting Hasina as his niece in 1975 has a profound influence in her political vision. He is not only a father figure to her, but also has risen to a God-like figure.

I know what chudur budur means, but here in West Bengal people don't use it in formal conversation or in front of elders. But off course we are talking about Bangladesh here!

Khaleda is the daughter of Tayeba Majumder and Eskander Majumder.

What I re-collect from an interview given by Tayeba Majumder when Khaleda Zia was a Prime-Minister. What she said that she belongs to T- family. I donot know what does this T- family means ? Then she said their forfather came from Mushidabad, probably evicted by the British and then they were settled at Punchogarg. As per her statement in thoses days (British times) all the family members used to get some sort of pension from the British Govt. The young lots used to go to LOndon very frequently as they need not required visa. Very frequently the yong lot used to get married with the British "Memshaheb" and divorce was common. She was very proud to be from that family. Question of "Marma" does not arise at all. She was pretty but does not resembles like "Marma".

@ Thanks for correcting me. Khaleda's maternal family does not belongs to Nawab family of Murshidabad. Just now I clearified from one of my friend who belongs to Thakurgaon that their famly is well known as "T" family and they came from "Shilligori". Here "T" means they always keep their name with having a first alphabet as "T" like Tahera, Tajeba both male and female. This family used to get an extra favour from British Govt.

@ Yes, you are right the first President of Pakistan Iskander Mirza was from the Nowab of Murshidabad having a title of "Mirza". It was he who first proclaimed Martial Law in Pakistan.(1958).

@ Just for your information there is a place called "Mirzapur" in Puchogarg and our present Acting President of BNP Mirza Fukrul Alamgir came from that place. His father Mirza Ruhul Amin was a State Minister in Ershad's Cabinet. And our ex-Speaker Mira Golam Hafiz also belongs to that " Mirza" family. It is known that this family was evicted from Murshidabad and later on settled at Mirzapur of Puchagorg.
