Lawyers attack/siege of Punjab Institute of Cardiology - Buzdar takes notice

, I know how real police work.
Pakistani police is not like the police of European countries I think you know this
Why they don't act against mobs on time?
You said due to fear of jobs but in reality they don't know what to do how to manage the situation

.
They ran away after police started firing tear gas
But why they attacked hospital?

I don't know why they attacked the hospital and to be honest, I don't even want to know.. Their is footage available.. faces of people can be clearly seen.. they could be picked up from the comfort of their homes within a couple of days if government shows its will..

There are many patients who lost their lives.. media is reporting at least 2 people have lost their lives.. Cardiac patients require immediate attention of doctors and some emergency procedures.. I call it an extremely weak policy to not handle them with iron hand..

Model town incident was a different one.. Poor guys in model town were not threatening the lives of anyone in the city.. It the police that fired on them first.. Maulana Fazlur Rahman's dharna is another wrong example to quote here as Maulana (despite I hate him) didn't take law into his hands and returned.. He just showed his power within the constitutional boundaries. No one died because of the protesters..

These goons (I won't call them lawyers) are another story.. They are the sole reason for the death of multiple patients... It wasn't a general hospital where people come to get treatment of viral infections..

Fvck these bastards.. and if government doesn't take any action, I will hold it equally responsible..

.
i think it is very difficult for govt to file murder case on this basis as they will also face such cases as many patients died in ambulance stranding due to pti protests against previous govt
6 patients have died. This Murder... if PTI Gov shoves it under the table I shall not forgive it... even during War hospitals are not Attacked... this is Crime Against Humanity.

You know me ... I am not being emotional... this is breakdown of State..which can NEVER be allowed!!!

It is reciprocal effect after CAB bill passed in India , there's unrest in India and now these lawyers working for enemy agenda and also creating a unrest here for nonsense reason. Well our agencies need to actively take them out and we all know what is punisment of traitor with pakistan.

.
These terrorist lawyers need to have thier licenses ceased immediately and be charged under terrorism laws, attacking the hospital which has resulted into deaths of patients.

These haraami judges and animal lawyers are a curse that needs to be cured.

I'm British, I know how real police work. Controlling a mob is a piece of cake for UK police. Every week up and down the country millions of people pour in an out of football stadiums. A few hundred police ensure that process goes smoothly without violence, even though the crowds are often drunk. Football had a massive culture of violence in the UK, the police were given the order to end it; they did.

During my youth i spent one Eid evening on Wilmslow road in Manchester. Never again. It was full of scumbags and other wannabe gangster types. People were drunk, fighting, violating traffic rules, rowdy. At one point the police decided enough was enough. Within 10 minutes they forced thousands of people off the roads, either into restaurants or off home. They swept the streets, forced horses at crowds clearing the path.

You Pakistani seem to think everything in Pakistan is a special case, it's not.

In US, police use horses with other set of tools. Once rioters see 2000 lbs well feed beast charging their way. Nobody wants to riots anymore.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Wednesday took notice of an attack by lawyers on the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore.

The chief minister ordered an investigation into the attack and summoned a report from the Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) and provincial secretary of specialised health and medical education. The premier summoned a report from the provincial chief secretary and inspector general.

The lawyers were protesting against a video that went viral on social media yesterday, in which a doctor is seen narrating an encounter with some lawyers in front of a group. According to the doctor, a group of lawyers had gone to the inspector general and told him to charge "two doctors" under Section 7 of ATA. He narrated that the IG had refused while the lawyers had urged him to press charges, saying "they could save face" that way.

A large number of lawyers gathered outside PIC on Wednesday. The protest, however, turned violent as the lawyers initially closed off entry and exit points to the hospital. According to reports and footage, the protesters also damaged equipment inside, and broke windows of the hospital as well as cars parked outside. Protesters smashed doors of emergency theatres and staff had to run out to save themselves, according to reports.

Patients, some in ambulances, were unable to reach the hospital while those receiving treatment were left unattended due to the chaos.

The lawyers also attacked media personnel on the site with stones. A DawnNewsTV female reporter, Kinza Malik, was injured and her phone was snatched from her.

Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hasan Chauhan, who had arrived at the hospital, said that "lawyers had tried to kidnap" him. In a video, he is seen being manhandled by a group of protesting lawyers.

Police is using tear gas and baton charge in an attempt to disperse the lawyers.

Lahore DIG Operations also arrived at the hospital. He said that those who took the law into their own hands will be dealt with strongly.

Young Consultants Association announced a nationwide strike after the violent protest. President of the YCA Dr Hammad Butt said that tomorrow no consultant will be on duty all across Punjab.

==============

1. Buzdar needs to resign. He seems unable to do anything other than take notice.

2. The police officers who stood by and watched and their senior officers who have created and sustained this culture of "don't take action against anyone powerful" need to be sacked.
Should be given a practical example by sentence. At least the practical part remaining in their training will be filled.

Yeh wakeel hain, tu mujrim kia hongy... Alamaan.

i think these are not lawyers but many of them are wearing cloths of lawyers to disguise but are actually member of some political party or group who is against current govt so proper investigation is needed before reaching conclusions in this regard

Sir, murder case should be filed on each and every lawyer identified through the footage available.. They should all get life sentences.. but what I want is not important, what this government does, will show who is in charge and can handle the country better..

This incident will reveal the real management skills of this government.. if not, then fvck this government too.

I disagree 100%. We had some Multani labourers building our house in Pakistan. They would labour all day and then in the evening for extra money they'd go and cut grass for the buffalo (my cousin was getting married and we were busy). They walked quicker through those narrow mountain paths carrying huge bundles of hay, then i did empty handed. This was after a day of hard labour in the July sun.
