A massive number of paramilitary forces have arrived in Jammu Kashmir.
As per a news report published by NDTV, Most of these paramilitary troopers have been deployed in north Kashmir and parts of the Jammu region.
The massive troop build-up has raised speculations and apprehensions among the locals including politicians as this is the first time after August 05 that Kashmir is seeing a massive build-up of troopers.
Though Officials have maintained that there is no truth in rumors of the troop movement as a prelude to some big development. The troops arriving in the Union Territory are those who went for election duty to West Bengal and other states, a senior police officer said. However similar statements ahead of 05 August 2019, have created massive trust deceit.
“These troops are returning from states where elections were held recently. They are being re-inducted. It’s not new deployment,” Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said.
Officials have said some 200 companies of paramilitary forces from Jammu Kashmir were sent to states for assembly elections, mostly to West Bengal. Fifty companies returned a month ago, and the rest are coming back now and being redeployed.
Meanwhile, according to another report by Economic Times, the JK Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Home Secretary AK Bhalla in Delhi.
However, a senior official in the administration informed that the meetings with Shah and others were a routine exercise. The LG is expected to reach Kashmir today (Monday).

I don't care. If they do something big again this time like last year, I want us to do something of substance.

Enough rona dhona on international forums and twitter. We damaged India's reputation but that didn't change crap.

We need action now if India continues with misadventures.
Modi's ratings seem to be dangerously low.
This is what makes me believe that he is either trying to repeat the 2019 clash or is doing something similar to August 2019.

Foreign office statement on twitter (they finally woke up after 4 days):

We have noted with serious concern reports indicating that India might be plotting further division, bifurcation & demographic changes in #IIOJK to perpetuate its illegal occupation. No new instrument of occupation shall have any legal effect.

India’s unilateral & illegal actions are violative of int’l law & UN Security Council Resolutions. #IIOJK is an internationally recognized disputed territory & Pakistan will continue to resolutely oppose Indian attempts to change its demographic structure & final status.

We urge India to halt & reverse its unlawful & destabilizing actions, ensure full compliance with UN Security Council resolutions & refrain from any further steps that imperil regional peace & security. The int’l community too must take immediate cognizance of the situation.

india is militarily scratching the bottom of the barrel here...just think about it, Pakistan ARMY to the west, Chinese ARMY to the north...and all india could muster up was cprf and other paramilitary forces instead of the regular army? india is over stretching herself and fast running out of military resources to deal with some extremely powerful enemies.

These are paramilitary forces that were moved for state elections to West Bengal, and are now being reverted back to their original location.
