Lahore seems like the most organised and thoughtful city in Pakistan. That is quite surprising as I thought Karachi is the biggest and most commercial.

Karachi no doubt is more commercial, a financial, industrial hub, has about 3 ports in close vicinity...and this is one reason of it being over populated and mismanaged.

Though many parts of Karachi is well planned than Lahore, wider roads, in grids but the problem is maintenance and owning the city. No centralized flow of power and responsibility in Karachi is another reason.

Yes, I have only been able to see video like this but even though Lahore is not as big as Karachi it seem the latter have more slums etc.

Yes Islamabad is very organised but I am surprised as Lahore is a much older and highly populated city and it seems very organised and clean.

Lahore has about half the population of Karachi that is 11 million for Lahore, Karachi is about 22 million. But the city spread of Lahore is as big as Karachi, so more open areas, many better planned housing societies, there are hundreds of residential societies, which are green and open planned.

Wow I did not know the population of Karachi was so high. I think Karachi should spread more along the coast and take advantage of the beaches like Dubai has and become seaside destination for Pakistan.
